I now understand why they have a 5 star rating. Their wines are so different from the others in this area. They have made their Zinfandel a super star wine. The service is first rate and the atmosphere is delightful. Cheers 🥂
Excellent Zinfandel as expected, including a caramelized, with notes of dried berries, late harvest that resembles Port. This time, they also had a clean, floral, beautiful (one fermentation only, in new French casks if I'm not mistaken) Chardonnay from 2018. Remarkable. Tasting was guided by Marie-Lou, a wonderful person. They have a cute patio in the shade facing the vines, perfect to sip a glass.
An amazing experience! Some of the best service I have ever experienced from all staff members. Margie was so attentive and sweet and knowledgeable on all their products! Became members for the winery after such an amazing experience, can't wait to return!
Lovely winery in Lodi. Tasting is guided tour with 5 tastings that lasts about an hour. You start in the tasting room, then go outside to see the vineyard, then head to the barrel room, and finish in the tasting room. Great place to take people and learn about the history of wine in Lodi as this was one of the first wineries in the area and is still family-owned. Primarly Zinfandel-focused wines - tasting currently includes a chardonnary, a zinfandel rosé, two zinfandels, and a late harvest dessert zin. You get a glass to take home with you & they were willing to do a split tasting (one glass to be shared with two people).
One of the best winery experiences I have ever had! We did a wine tasting and tasted all their wines. They also gave us a little tour with our tastings. It was a very personable and individualized tasting... and you can sense and taste that in their wines as well. Loved the experience, wines and our tasting specialist, Jane.
