Enjoy delicious authentic Mexican food at Maria’s Taqueria & Meat Market! Tucked right off the road in a small shopping center on Thornton Road, it's known by most north side Stockton locals as one of the best places in town to get homemade tamales. They are made fresh, so make sure to ask what kinds they have to offer. On any given day they have chicken, cheese with jalapeño, pork and beef.
Their carnitas are also made fresh to order in house as soft tacos, crunchy tacos or take 1, 2, or 3 pounds of cooked meat home to make your own. You can even buy sopes already made or you can take some home to make yourself. The next time you don't want to cook try one of Maria's family meals. It comes with tortillas, rice, beans and salsa. The food is delicious, and everybody that works there is very nice, with the exception of the daughter in law, who is horrible to encounter. She's rude, challenges you when they make a mistake, and one time called me back to tell me the free burrito her son offered me, was no longer available when they messed up on my order. It's a nice experience if you don't have to encounter the daughter in law. I've been going there since it opened and interactions with her have only gotten worse.
Maria's Taqueria ia a family owned business. I like the owners, they really treat you like family. They are kind and hardworking and very helpful. The food is delicious.
Like going here when I dont feel like going to a big store. They have pretty much everything you need. If you dont feel like cooking, they have food. And everyone in there is pretty friendly. it's a nice family business
Maria's is the best taqueria around my neighborhood. They have really good food. Marinated meats, seafood , they have salsas, they have guacamole, they also have hot mexican food you can order.
We used Maria’s for my son’s baby shower and the food was AMAZING, fresh, hot, delicious, and very flavorful!!! Customer service was great, food was on time. Thank you for the great service Maria’s, we will use your establishment again for sure!!
