Had a court hearing yesterday and showed up too early so my godmother says, "Hey let's go to Maria's!" Never been so we drove around the corner to this Asian style building. It's definitely a natives spot. I couldn't decide what to order so the waitress helped me decide with a half order of Cocido-beef soup with a beef crunchy taco. The soup comes with a side of rice and beans and choice of tortillas. I ordered a cafe with canela and it was soo good! Not too strong with that cafe de olla taste. They give you mixed chips and salsa's while you wait. I started with my soup and it was so comforting! The meat was soft, not chewy and the veggies cooked nicely. Then I started eating my taco when I realized I had forgotten to take photos lol so I snapped a few of what was left!! I finished all my food and had that full but satisfied feeling!!! Will definitely come back 10/10 on flavors, portions and prices!!!
We love the soup and everything! When we were leaving, we dropped the credit card and didn’t realize it, a waitress ran to us and gave it back, we just want to say thank you again, I really appreciate it!
Service was amazing. The staff is friendly and attentive. Food is always delicious! Best place in Stockton
Not familiar with Stockton, I googled the area and this location had good ratings. Didn't disappoint. Good authentic food, welcoming and kind staff, good prices. Had the menudo, huevos rancheros with the chicana, chilaquiles with scrambled eggs, and chorizo with huevos. Horchata was very good and authentic. Very yummy and filling.
