Maya Angelou Library Branch
Overview
The Maya Angelou Southeast Branch Library/Biblioteca opened its doors in 1996, following an inauguration ceremony and speech delivered by namesake Dr. Maya Angelou. The library offers computer workstations and printing for general and Internet use, a reference collection for in-depth research, and a circulating collection of library materials to borrow with a library card. The branch maintains Spanish language materials significant to the overall collection of the Library. Also, there are specialized materials on African American history and other social sciences. The Stockton Record, San Francisco Chronicle and a variety of magazines are available for browsing.
The Maya Angelou Community Room can be rented for meetings. Please contact the Library for more information and to make a reservation.

Activities for kids plus the actual library are really fun and we are very thankful for the opportunity to assist
Very good library, customer service, and overall the looks. One thing that I don't like is the time schedule online when it's a holiday like today, labor day. It should be fixed on holidays that closes the library's.
Great place, great workers, very kind people. You can really get into intellectual discussion with the crew. Wish it was open for longer in a day.
Friendly staff, good books, clean and welcome place, good amount of computers to reserved, awesome events for children and family, free lunch program for children, and close to my house. My son and I really like Maya Angelou library. I like that the library has extended their hours. If you are looking for a library to entertain yourself, school work, and/or to take your children, I highly recommend Maya Angelou.
