I ended up grabbing dinner here after work, and it turned out to be a pretty good choice. The tacos had plenty of flavor, and the rice and beans tasted fresh instead of feeling like an afterthought. Service was friendly, even though they were a bit busy when I came in. My drink took a little longer than expected, but it wasn't a huge deal. The place has a relaxed vibe that makes it easy to just hang out and enjoy your meal. I'd def come back to try some of the other items on the menu.
AnG wanted to try something new to A. G insisted on a super burrito for A. Living in California, we do get access go amazing Mexican cuisine. We get to eat so much amazing food. Right off the bat, the tortilla hit way different from other tortillas. It was delicious. The carne asada was flavorful and not salty as many as asada can be. A learned the hard way that their chilé is really spicy though. For 23.00, two burritos was well worth it, especially given the quality of the food. Thanks Nene's for a great Saturday afternoon lunch.
Went here with a couple friends on a Friday evening and had a pretty good experience. The place was busy but we got seated faster than expected. I ordered the carne asada tacos and they were flavorful and cooked just right. The chips and salsa were fresh, and the portions were decent for the price. Our server checked on us a few times without being overbearing, which I appreciated. One of our drinks took a little longer to come out, but it wasn't a big issue. Overall, a solid spot for Mexican food and I'd probably come back when I'm in the area again.
