New Shanghai is dishing up a wide selection of Chinese dishes for lunch and dinner! It is so hard to decide what to order at this restaurant and it all looks so good.
You can order a lunch special for one or choose a dinner combo for two if you just can't choose but want a little bit of everything. But you can create a meal all your own starting with fried wontons as an appetizer, followed by hot & sour soup, then try the Mongolian beef, lemon chicken, or kung pao prawns. If you bring the family you can order a little bit of everything, put it in the middle of the table, and share!

New Shanghai is a hidden gem on Pacific Avenue with home-style cooking where you feel the love coming out of the kitchen. The place was clean and staff were kind. The food was delicious and aroused good memories from perfect seasoning and flavors. My favorite so far was the Ginger Beef and Peppers and BBQ Pork Fried Rice. Stop by and check it out!
Mom and Pop shop, family owned. Customer service is great. Very respectful, kind, and happy to see you when entering the restaurant. I've tried almost everything on the menu. Their style of cooking reminds me of old Emerald restaurant downtown Stockton. You are able to mix and match anything you want. They are happy to be of service. All food is delicious and authentic. I have not been disappointed . Try it, you'll be very satisfied
We had a warm greeting when we arrived. Our waitress was efficient and attentive. A hidden gem with a quiet atmosphere with really great food and service. The lunch plates are generous portions and served all day. We enjoyed sweet and sour pork, sweet and sour chicken, pork chow mein, BBQ pork, salad and hot tea.
This restaurant has quality food. Their dried fried ribs are by far the best in Stockton as well and broccoli and beef. I also tried their shrimp fried rice with no complaints. Don’t judge the outside of the building. Try it out for yourself and you will not be disappointed.
