I learned about this business at a farmer's market in Mountain View, Ca. I bought a wedge of their gouda. The following week at the same farmer's market they had no gouda. When I asked about it, I was told that if I ask that they would bring it the following week. They did. I decided to check out the actual business and was delighted. I have never been disappointed.
The staff was super helpful. There is quite the selection of items here. Many different types of cheeses, but also fresh baked sourdough, cheesecakes, chocolate truffles, and hot foods. The grilled cheese was super melty and pairs well with piping hot tomato soup. Also, outside are friendly cats who will keep you company while you wait for your food.
It's 2025, where else can you get a grilled Gouda on sourdough sandwich for $4.50? Also, tomato soup was REALLY GOOD. All prices very reasonable. The Welcome Cat will greet you and show you around. Outdoor tables. Koi pond. Chickens, goats, and other animals to see.
A very fun place to stop on a road trip. They have great cheese! They also sell grilled cheese and tomato soup for lunch which is amazing. They have some goats that kids can feed and just watch. We’ve stopped here several times on road trips to get lunch and let the kids run around for awhile.
