Ray's Chicken and Fish Mart has a huge variety of proteins to choose from. You can order chicken, fish, oysters, crab, lobster or any of their other fresh meats and have them cook it there for you or take it home to dish up yourself. The owner Ray takes great pride in his restaurant and loves answering any questions you may have about cooking up the meat at home or what the best flavor matches are for your meal.
Take a "create your own" seafood platter to a pot luck and you are sure to be the most favorite guest there. Don't forget to grab some to-go jambalaya, sauces and sides. We heard the hush puppies are killer!

Very friendly and great service! I had the catfish and cornbread. The catfish was fried fresh and had a great flavor. The cornbread was nice bite size pieces and were extremely delicious! Another jewel with good food, great service and good prices, I highly recommend!!
So glad they reopened. The new look was great, food was outstanding like always. Great service, definitely recommend people give them a try.
Rays has always been good food to me, but I came back after not patronizing them for at least a good 3 years. I was disappointed because I called in aheadrequesting that my food is fried hard and then at mild sauce. everything was soggy, which, it was important to me to be cooked appropriately. I called to inform. The gentleman that answer did offer for me to come back in and they re-cook it but I Declined letting him know that the reason I called is that I didn’t have time to wait
Loved the food, the vibes, everything! My kids tore up their Mac n cheese and fries. I didnt even get a single fry. But LOVED the fish (I had red snapper) perfectly crispy yet juicy inside. Last but not least the Greens! Immaculate! Best greens I’ve had in a long time! If I lived out here this would be a regular spot for me! Great food with friendly staff can’t beat that! I hope you guys end up coming out to Portland!
I live in the area and this place is FIRE! The owner is very kind and welcoming, very fresh food always made fresh! Love this place and I will keep coming for generations to come. I've dined in and taken out and it's good regardless
