Ray's Chicken and Fish Mart has a huge variety of proteins to choose from. You can order chicken, fish, oysters, crab, lobster or any of their other fresh meats and have them cook it there for you or take it home to dish up yourself. The owner Ray takes great pride in his restaurant and loves answering any questions you may have about cooking up the meat at home or what the best flavor matches are for your meal.
Take a "create your own" seafood platter to a pot luck and you are sure to be the most favorite guest there. Don't forget to grab some to-go jambalaya, sauces and sides. We heard the hush puppies are killer!

I feel like people who really appreciate food understand 2 things; “whole in the wall” spots should be referred to as hidden gems & you can tell when someone cooks with love! This place embodies both of these facts.. for too long I’ve been suggested this place and finally the day has arrived my taste buds were blessed! THIS IS THE SPOT FOR YOUR SEAFOOD FIX
Had a craving for fish and sought someplace new to me and chose Ray’s. We entered and met the owner, Ray, who was very welcoming. My family chose different items across the menu not knowing how it would be. Prep was roughly 20-25 minutes since the fish was made fresh. As we waited, I saw he also carried some childhood favorite sodas, namely Cactus Cooler and Tahitian Treat. We thanked Ray for making the food and brought it home. We thoroughly enjoyed the seasoning as well as the flavor across all the dishes we ordered. The jumbo shrimp was extremely meaty and delicious. The calamari was tender and flavorful. The catfish nuggets were juicy as was the sole. I also got the jambalaya and it was delicious!! I ended my meal with the banana pudding and it topped off a very seasoned and satisfying meal. We look forward to heading to Ray’s for when we have another yearning for some down home fried fish.

Came here looking for something different and I ordered the fish and shrimp and it was on point. The best food I have tasted in california. The owner was very pleasant and professional. If you are tired of tacos and fake seafood spot, this is the place to come. I promise you that you will keep coming back.
