Overview
Ray's Chicken and Fish Mart has a huge variety of proteins to choose from. You can order chicken, fish, oysters, crab, lobster or any of their other fresh meats and have them cook it there for you or take it home to dish up yourself. The owner Ray takes great pride in his restaurant and loves answering any questions you may have about cooking up the meat at home or what the best flavor matches are for your meal.
Take a "create your own" seafood platter to a pot luck and you are sure to be the most favorite guest there. Don't forget to grab some to-go jambalaya, sauces and sides. We heard the hush puppies are killer!

This place was delicious! My friend and I ordered the fried catfish+fries, hush puppies and jambalaya and we loved everything. The jambalaya was flavorful. The fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned. The catfish had a nice batter and was tender and moist on the inside. I did wish the outside was a little more crispy, but I think that’s just my personal preference. The hush puppies were crispy on the outside, soft, fluffy and flavorful on the inside. The hush puppies were both of our favorites. Everything was freshly fried. Service was great! Ray was super nice and helpful when we had questions about the menu. He checked in on us throughout our dining experience. All of the other workers were friendly as well and smiled and greeted us. There were 5 tables where you could sit and enjoy your food, and they were all clean.
Really good and decently priced soul food! The fish was super fresh, the chicken spiced and fried deliciously, and the staff were so kind and generous with the sides and sauces. Would definitely go back out of our way to eat this again!
Took my daughter to Ray’s for lunch after her basketball tournament in Stockton last weekend!! And it was 🔥🔥🔥!! Food was excellent and the staff was very polite and courteous!! My daughter had the “Had to have it” with snow crab legs & I had the “What do we have here” with Dungeness crab! It was seasoned and cooked to perfection in garlic butter!! Will definitely be back to feast on some of that goodness again real soon!! Thank u fellas at Ray’s for the excellent food and hospitality!!
Went here for the first time and they set me up with an amazing plate. The red snapper was on point and so were the fries. Perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Got some red beans on the side too and you can really taste the turkey in there. When I picked up my food the owner introduced himself and shook my hand. The other employee working also gave me pro tips on how to take my food home so it doesnt get soggy. Would reccomend this spot to anyone. Damm near the best fried fish I've ever had and gotta love how they run their business.
I came into Ray's on a whim and I'm glad I did. As soon as I walked in, and I saw the signs saying everything is made FRESH, I knew the food would be fire! I don't like fried food but Ray's hits different. I ordered the large orange roughy because I wanted a nice white fish and it came with fries and bread. I never eat fries, just because, but the fries at Ray's, I ate all of them. The fries weren't soggy or overcooked, the right amount of salt and a bit of sugar for taste. The fish - never have I had fried fish that was this light and crispy. I feel like I'm exaggerating writing this review, but I'm honestly still thinking about the fish. The proportions were chunky and the fish was flaky. It falls right into your mouth. I haven't tried any of the other fish yet but I'll be back for the catfish and some prawns. Grab the banana pudding, you cannot go wrong with it. There is a whole dessert menu that looks delicious! The staff are super helpful and polite. Ray is an awesome host and good people. Yes, I will be back soon!
