Overview
Founded in 1950, Stockton Civic Theatre entertains local audiences with world-class performances of Broadway's favorite musicals and plays. The SCT mission is to provide Broadway quality live entertainment and arts education programs to the residents of California's great Central Valley. SCT produces 5 shows a year, and 3 Black Box shows. Went to Stockton Civic Theater for the first time today and was majorly impressed with the quality of the production and the wonderful cast for Jesus Christ-Superstar. The portrayals were dynamic and moving. Their Jesus gave a touching performance and Herod knocked it outta the park. I will definitely be back for more shows. Bravo/Brava!!!
I haven't yet entered the theater yet. I bought tickets to a show with my son. Parking is limited to street parking and there are apartment complexes surrounding the theater. Also close is a fresh bakery and a small strip for different stores. Near the end is the Mongolian Beef restaurant. (Which I haven't been to in years.) Unfortunately at this time I didn't take pictures, but when I go to the play I will update with more information and photos. Don't fully rely on GPS either. It gets you close, but has you go further than needed. The attendant in the both was incredibly nice and helpful. She answered all my questions with kindness and understanding. I can't wait to go back.

I just went and saw the production of Murder on the Orient Express and it was a good production. Knowing the many challenges there are in the show it was done well. However, more attention should be paid to costume accuracy for the time period and the pace of the show was very slow. Great accents and good performances over all
Lovely venue. I wish there was more parking, but the street parking was adequate enough.
