Tepa Taqueria has been a longtime Stockton favorite. Burritos, tacos, enchiladas, and so much more can be found here. A definite must visit for Mexican food fans! This little hidden gem is tucked away in the corner of a little shopping center but it is not a secret to locals.
The line is usually long but the wait isn't. After you order your meal at the counter make your way over to their salsa bar and load up on the variety of salsas and grab some jalapeno peppers. The friendly staff will bring your food directly to your table. Make sure to get a fresh horchata for the kids and try their beef chimichanga or carnitas. This locally owned and operated spot is delicious!

Great food, good prices, bilingual menu and service, spacious and clean dining area, and the salsa bar is awesome. Lots of delicious vegetarian options. I was annoyed by all the styrofoam and other unnecessarily single-use items, especially for dine-in customers.

My Daughter and my son in-law’s favorite Mexican restaurant! It is a really authentic Mexican dish here , great food but service can be dicey sometimes. We ordered total of six dishes and get change for it but they didn’t prepare for us. There always room to improve. I hope they will do better by not missing our order!

Excellent food appreciated by many regular customers. Everyone enjoys the perfect complementary salsa bar too. The owner is often at the counter taking customer's orders and ringing them up. He personally makes sure everything is just the way you want it to be. Yummy!

Decent Mexican food, plenty of it, great salsa in several variations, free drink refills. I'd give it four stars if the food was less expensive. The prices seem high for a self serve cafeteria style eatery. The food is good.

This place is a hidden gem!!! Can't believe I didn't find it sooner. Soooo much to choose from, their Al Pastor and Carnitas were sooo flavorful and super juicy!!! Salas bar was great! Would have liked a fresher Chile Relleno but it was still good. Most definitely will be a repeat customer when in town.

Great salsa bar ranging from mild to get some water hot. All the condiments necessary to make your meal enjoyable.Since visiting the restaurant I have been back 3 days in a row as the price is reasonable and the customer service excellent if your in Stockton you gotta visit Tepa Taqueria

The food is good, prices reasonable, and service is not bad. It's not a place I remember and yet I have never had a bad experience here. So I would say you can't go wrong here, though it's not a place to choose if you are looking to make a memory. But you you want a good meal at a fair price, you will be pleased with your choice here.

I give it a 4 star simply because the beans and rice were really good. I got the pescado plate and the fish was really over cooked and dry, like I had to pull it apart with my hands and even that was a struggle. But ill give them another try because a small part of the fish was soft and juicy and the spices were really good. Just chalking it up to chance that it was over cooked. Staff was really nice too. I also got a Carne asada sope and that was super good!

Food was ok! What makes me give them 3 stars is that the salsas were really watered down and weren’t spicy at all and chips were stale (they charge $1 for a small bag of chips) Service was amazing! Super friendly employees.

It's like they've gotten even better. Normally I have to have salsa, lime and jalapeno with my burrito but I just ate their burrito with nothing added.... cuz it was good all by itself. This is the only Mexican place I faithfully come back to. The people are always nice, accommodating and friendly. And the prices aren't bad either.

I have not been here in sometime. Purchased a super burrito and super quesadilla. The burrito had more rice than I like but still very tasty. The Super quesadilla was the best and I will be back for more. The portions are nice for the price. Very friendly staff. My wife ordered tacos and she was very happy. This is a true taco not a hard shell like at Taco Bell. We phoned the order in a by the I drove there it was ready. 15 minutes max. The Pico degalo is delicious.

Absolutely loved the food and friendly service from this restaurant today! The food is fresh and absolutely delicious! The tacos and pozole were favorites of the entire family. Tacos were customized as requested and the Pozole came with all of the extra fixings on the side. Definitely recommend for a great and filling meal any time of day.

Had Al Pastor taco. It was of a good size and delicious. You can serve yourself salsa, jalapeños, onions, and more from the side table. The staff is super friendly and the facility is clean. I thought the prices were good too. If you’re in the area, I’d recommend this Mexican food restaurant.

We have been loyal clientele to the Tepa family for 15 plus years. Mauricio Pati Juan and the entire staff are very warm and humble people. NOT to mention the food is always delicious.
