Enjoy a wide range of Japanese favorites from handmade rolls to udon, donburi, chicken katsu, and much more! This locally owned and operated spot is modern inside and located right off the 99 freeway for a quick bite to eat in or out of town. The bento lunch and dinner boxes have very large portions and the miso soup is full of flavor. Prices are reasonable and the product is extremely fresh.
The Toyo staff is always friendly and the owner focuses on guest satisfaction. They always make you feel welcomed and are attentive to their customer's needs.
A family frequent and favorite. Love everything we had and they accommodated a large group. Thank you so much!
A great, friendly place. They greeted us and sat us quickly (with a party of 5) and the service was amazing. The food was delicious with good portions and tasted so fresh. We ordered the island, lobster, and Volcano roll, and my 6 year old got the toyo roll. So refreshing, light, and tasty. My boys got bento boxes and they even come with some sushi on the side..We will definitely be going back.
Affordable sushi. Really good. The atmosphere in the restaurant seems a little dull but over all the food is delicious
Tucked away in the corner of a shopping center, Toyo has good food with great service. Quality of fish was decent and they have a wide selection on their menu. With tip, three rolls and an order of nigiri, my bill was $45. Great value for what you get. Definitely recommended if in the north Stockton area.
They were very busy but efficient. Quality of food did not suffer.
I don’t do sushi. I hate sushi. I love Toyo Sushi. Always get the Green Dragon. If you don’t like sushi or fish, I would highly recommend the Green Dragon
My favorite sushi spot in Stockton. My go to are the Shrimp Tempura & Volcano rolls. Service is always friendly. They are always busy. Located right off 99 @ Morada in the Raley’s shopping center. Next to Starbucks & Subway.
I ordered bay bridge sushi, it's really yummie like what it looks, and the asparagus stick is crunchy. 3 items dinner for 15.99 but all from chicken. If orders with beef 18.99. The sevice is quite fast, the restaurant is not that big. It will be my go to for japanese foods.
The lobster roll and Hawaii roll are delicious. The lobster meat is small and on top of the roll. Enjoyed the shrimp tempura inside, the veg, the sauce of the lobster roll. The Hawaii roll is much cheaper than the lobster roll. It has multiple types of fish inside.
We came here after a failed Costco shopping attempt. We were greeted and sat almost immediately. The service was good and friendly. Even though they were busy, our order was quickly delivered. We ordered from the specialty sushi roll menu, and picked 3 rolls incredible, Hawaii and Reno. All the rolls were beautiful and tasty. It was fresh in flavor. They had the low sodium soy sauce and provided plenty of ginger and wasabi paste too. We paid 40 for the 3 rolls and 2 bowls of miso, which was fair. I would gladly return to this location.
06/27/2022: First visit here. This is a small Japanese restaurant but it is big on fresh fish. I had the chirashi bowl. It came with a beautiful assortment of fish - ahi, hamachi, red snapper, salmon, albacore tuna, and escolar - with seaweed salad and shredded daikon radish atop a bed of rice. My mother had the salmon shioyaki with salad, edamame, and rice. Both dishes were beautifully presented and satisfied our hunger. I also had the Special Columbia roll - deep fried shrimp, asparagus, and spicy salmon inside, topped with assorted fresh fish, sauces, and tobiko. The roll had about 10 pieces. It was a little too spicy for my palate, so I took it home to hubby. Service here is good. The servers help with all the tables, and they are busy with serving food, bussing tables, and fulfilling takeout orders. Overall, they were attentive to refilling drinks and checking in with customers. If you've never been, give this place a try.
Love this place! I went with my usual, "The Mexican." If you like spicy, you have to try it. It's not on the menu so just ask for it by name.
We enjoy going out. Last night we arrived in this delicious restaurant which we didn’t know before. We enjoyed a lovely evening there with superb food and an efficient stuff and a talented cuisine. We added this venue in our phone list and we will no doubt return very soon. We highly recommend.
Nice folks - checked on us a few times to make sure we were doing okay. Good prices and good portions. Small spot but big on flavor.
Since there are not many good sushi options in Stockton, Toyo Sushi is a MUST if you’re in the area and craving some. Their service is generally expedient and their sushi is always top-notch and AFFORDABLE. The staff are always extremely friendly. The atmosphere is also favorable and there is a Starbucks across the way
Great service, they really work hard to ensure you have a good meal. Good food. It could be a little cleaner and more organized.
This place is my go to for Sushi. The owner is super friendly and the food is always good. JJ special is spicy and one of my top choices. I Highly recommend giving the place a taste.
Jay and His Wife are the best. Very friendly, fun Family Place to be. I have taking my friends and Family member there to eat lunch and dinner. Our favorite place to be. Jay ,we have your movie tickets.
Was very laid back place to dine. And the service was great! Will come again to try other rolls and dishes.
Great Food awesome atmosphere and Conveniently located off the 99 fwy and 10 steps from Starbucks.
Been coming here for quite some time now every time I come its just like the first great hospitality and service. Dragon crunch rolls 😋
Top three Japanese restaurants in Stockton. The food is amazing. Portions are plentiful. Ordered a dinner bento box, and it was enough for two. Definitely worth the drive and price.
They are very nice people and the food is good. Not as great as some other places but certainly good. I have always ordered over the phone and every time they tell me a time when it will be ready and I'm there by then, I end up waiting another 15-20 minutes. This last time it was ready when I arrived but the food was actually not hot not even warm anymore, I'm sure it has been sitting there for a while.
Sushi here good and the service is friendly. However this is a late post. When we last ate here the owner came out to ask how everything was. We said everything was good but, he spotted a dish we ordered that he didn't think was good enough so he sent us another one on the house. Definitely reccomend this restaurant.
Wow this place is amazing. Had a girls day out and ordered a volcano roll. It was delicious. The young Asian girl was our waiter, I wish I remembered her name but sadly I forgot.
Food was good, and staff were nice and friendly... The location, if you've not been here before, is a bit hard to find.. They are tucked a bit in the corner, not easily visible from the parking lot....
They're always so kind and I never have to wait long. Sushi is always fresh and tasty. I suggest the Black Knight Roll 😋
The best sushi in stockton/Lodi if you’re looking for traditional sushi. The fish is always fresh.
This place is fantastic. The tempura was light and crisp, service was good, and the prices were reasonable for what we got.
Its a little on the expensive side but the quality of the sushi was so fresh and good. Highly recommend. 10/10 will go again.
Airlines for takeout or walk in order was very confusing and not organized correctly. Waited way too long for my phone in pickup. Sushi was okay
Tried the Camellia roll and was blown away with the taste and how it melted in my mouth. Definitely worth it as it's a craving for me now 😋 P.S. - remember to wear a mask
Amazing sushi place. I consider it the best one around stockton. Order on time by phone since its very busy and can take around 25-30 on busy days.
Best service ever!! Specially from JJ !! I recommend disney roll and JJ special roll 😋
Good place to eat sushi. You have to try the beast the best roll I've ever had
Dropped in for ikura takeaway and it was fresh and delicious. Very generous servings.
My favorite sushi place in town. They are so good and my husband who doesn't really care so much for sushi loves the beast roll. It's steaks and not fish. Perfect for people who don't care for seafood.
Good quality sushi that is reasonably priced. One of my favorite spots. I highly recommend that you try "The Beast Roll" or the "Crunch Dragon".
First and foremost everytime or anywhere you eat sushi , it will be a splurge because its expensive compared to other restaurants. Now is that worth it to you or not is your call. Ill post the menu and prices and you decide. For me personally it is an above average sushi place, it could improve on service time, maybe some pictures of the menu because they have a lot of sushi rolls and if you are not an expert of sushi rolls you'll be ordering something you might not like. Yes they put what is in the certain dish but not all of it. You do not want to do a trial and error on what you should have, could have, or would have because like I said it is a splurge kind of thing eating in sushi places.
Excellent customer service. Really friendly. Despite being so busy, I still received my order in a reasonable time.
