Overview
Twisted Barrel Winery offers a new take on an old art. As one of Lodi’s boutique-style wineries, the family business is creating small lot, quality wines that specialize in Italian, Spanish and Portuguese varietals.
The winery combines family, friendship and an open door policy to raise the bar and create an all inclusive tasting experience for all to enjoy. Extra touches come into play in the tasting room – tasty tidbits, music and no-pressure-vibe.
They invite you to visit and see how they do things...Twisted Barrel style!

I stopped by for wine tasting. Tasting room has a bar in front and several tables inside main room. Was decorated festively for an event. Our server was one of the owners. I didn't catch her name but was most accommodating and very pleasant. She offered a lot of information about her wines as well as to where to go for dinner. I tasted 5 wines. All wines were good but my favorite was Alicante Bouschet. This wine smelled fragrant and looked inky but was smooth with a lot of fruit flavors. Wished I'd bought more than one bottle. I'll have to figure out how to have some shipped to me. Thank you for taking care us. Definitely will see you again. Was a bit disappointing to learn if one wants to buy wines & have it shipped, price is a bit expensive.

We sat inside at high tables and enjoyed our tasting served by nice lady who is part of the family owners. Complimentary caramel popcorn. My favorite wine was the 2018 Petite Syrah that had a husky nose, fruity mid-palate lushness, making a good food wine. Reasonable prices. Cute setting that has a big room set up for events, surrounded by racks of wine barrels.
Denise was so friendly and entertained me before she got a packed house! I really loved both the white and red flights. They also had popcorn of different varieties to snack on! Brock the wine maker came in later during my visit is knowledgeable and friendly and loves in his words “nerd out talking bout wine” 🙂 I failed to get pics of the huge back room but it’s lovely! Dog friendly too!! I truly hope to be back to Lodi to return to this tasting room! Cheers! 🍷🥂
