Staff warm and welcoming throughout hotel, registration, bar and restaurant. Food preparation and presentation excellent. Pets welcome, making travel a pleasant experience.
Great hotel and far enough away from the hustle and bustle of busier parts of Stockton. King size room was spacious for three of us (added in a rollaway for $25 per night)... super clean and perfect for our one night stay. Parking is free and located safely across the street in a well lit lot. All staff was friendly and courteous upon checkin and at the on-site restaurant. Also, we enjoyed 2 meals there (a late lunch and the breakfast buffet...super worth it for the price). The kitchen staff prepared really good food...thank you! FYI...their pool is closed effective tomorrow for repairs...really nice outdoor setting on the water to sit, drink, talk, eat, play pool or ping pong. Very family-friendly for folks coming for tournaments, etc. Would definitely return!
Very nice rooms, spacious and clean. Nice outdoor area with seating, pools, table tennis and pool tables. It's also located next to a basketball and baseball field in walkable distance. Parking is free In hotel
# 212. Previously known as the Lexington Plaza Waterfront Hotel SERVICE & TRANSITIONS -- πNot off to a great start: $75 early check-in fee (A new record!), on-top of the $20/day resort fee.πΈ Upgrading to a double room was also ($25) more expensive in-person than online. πΈπΈ Quieren todos plataπ. Staff were nice & accommodating, particularly the speedy housekeeping employees. Phone service was also consistently courteous & timely. The Lobby: minimal with an awkward orientation; not the best flow & really dry for a transition space. Laundry services were free & the condition of the room+machines was immaculate. Noon checkout-- we like to see it! -- with a 12:30pm (30m) late checkout offered. MVP Employees: housekeeping ROOM (315, 426, 429) -- π Good https://youtu.be/gkEwgMvkggE https://youtu.be/Pn7XaOlnkRs https://youtu.be/6092-4i4i_Y Overall vibe was Sublime, being surrounded by the water & wildlife was so relaxing: we regularly saw humming birds zoom by & ducks swimming from our (floor-to-ceiling) window. It's a pity the website does such a meager job representing its accommodations... They're much more comfortable & spacious than depicted. The entryways are awkward though: a full-size refrigerator in your egress is strange; better to have and not need... as they say. Thermostat being capped at 68 was a bummer on higher floors. BED -- π great. A plush & redeeming nights sleep on luxury bedding. Sheraton Sealy sleeper mattresses were in fantastic condition. Firmness was just the right level, paired with toppers softer than clouds. Sheets were noteworthy too: airy, breathable, and smooth to the touch (60:40 poly blend). Comforters felt equally cozy. BATH -- π ok. Large dimensions π... with a trite wallpaper π, & the ghastly zero-entry showerπ. The half-pane is a frustrating trend & functionally an annoyance. Double rooms have the better shower installation: an alcove combination soaking tubπ. Maintenance needs improvement: exhausts was weak & our shower curtains were in tatters-- Tighten up folks! TV/ENTERTAINMENT -- π poor. Budget TV & Remote solution; some TVs are modern while others are a relic from the distant past... It's a literal lottery. Dimensions, picture quality, & capabilities were hardly functional. The whole system routinely crashed displaying "No signal". π€¦ββοΈ IMHO, just pretend it doesn't exist and enjoy the abundant activities around the property: lively lounge, ping pong, swimming, tanning, spa, & bird watching. WI-FI & CELL RECEPTION -- π great. Unencrypted, fast, free. No noticeable issues with cellular (Verizon) performance. --Performance-- Video streaming - Good Online gaming - Good Video chatting - Good --Nerd Stats-- 81-116 Mbps download 65-102 Mbps upload 0% packet loss 13 ms latency 8 ms jitter FOOD & DRINK -- π ok. DoorDash friendly. The room service menu isn't allergen friendly + no nutrition/calorie info so we didn't bother with this. A trove of snacks (junk food) available for purchase in the lobby. in-room: β microwave (full size) β fridge (full size) β coffee βtea β wet-bar β mini-bar NOISE -- π ok. Peaceful & quiet when kids aren't running through the halls, loitering in the parking lot or throwing parties. LOCATION -- π Good. Water & sun in downtown Stockton. The environment felt safe and the Stockton Arena is just feet away. The route to the property isn't a smooth one & there isn't much else in the vicinity besides this property. RECOMMENDATION price: $154.53/night Was it worth it: yes Best part: laundry services The Drip Pricing (resort/junk fees) was heavy on this one, which soured the experience. Hotel economy in this area of NorCal is already painful & the opaque pricing didn't help. It's since been outlawed which makes this experience must less polarizing IMO. I could see myself returning & would recommend it to others. 4/5 βοΈ @mrstaycation
Went for the 4th and loved it. Nice room - we got the courtyard king with a rollaway bed. Close to the waterfront where we could walk to see fireworks. Good food in the restaurant. The pool was too small for the number of people they ended up having, but it would have been nice on a less crowded day. And then my daughter left her favorite stuffie in her room, and they were able to find it and ship it back to us- which earned the five stars in my book even without the rest!
