Overview
The Watts family has been growing grapes for 4 generations. Their vineyards enjoy a unique micro climate near the Mokelumne River. With a dedication to quality, and a lot of hard work, Watts has built a reputation for producing some of the finest grapes in the California wine industry.
After years of providing grapes to the best-known wineries in California, Watts decided to make our own wine. Their first wine was a 1999 Old Vine Zinfandel. Today, they offer many different varietals of award-winning wine. Watts hopes you enjoy drinking Watts wine as much as they enjoy making it.

Very nice visit on a quiet Labor Day Monday. Beautiful grounds with specimen quality vegetation. Met a couple of cool winery cats. I love their subtle focus of entertaining with art & artists! We tasted quite a few wines, both Watts and Upstream labels. Two standouts: Malbec, Chardonnay and Old Vine Zin... YOU will have to go to yourself to check out which label you like best... CHEERS!
Love this winery! They have two different lines/labels, totally different taste profiles in each one. One is fruitier, one is dryer. Love their Cabernet, Zinfandel and Chardonnay. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the owners are warm and engaging. A favorite :)
