Five decades later, the Van Ruitens farm over 800 acres of wine grapes, with only their optimum fruit destined to carry the family name. After more than fifty years, their ambition became a reality, as the Van Ruiten Family Winery was built just prior to the 2000 harvest. Two generations of the Van Ruiten family now work together to tend the vineyards and manage the winery.

Very great wines and a great atmosphere. Tasting Room hosts were so friendly and hospitable. My favorite was the Rosé of Malbec and the Zoet Angie. You can bring your own food inside. I recommend sitting outside and taking enjoy the view of the vineyards across the road. Lovely setting for any occasion.

Van Ruiten rating 4.5 stars. Very nice setting and tasting area with large front patio. Visited recently with some friends who live in Lodi but had not visited this tasting room. We were all pleased with the friendly service and quality wines. Convenient location off the highway. Recommend if in Lodi.

Such a cute winery! Was there for their Mardi Gras pick up party a few months back and they ran out of tables. But we made it a picnic and it was so much fun!! Love the taste of their wine and definitely the atmosphere it comes with.

Our experience at Van Ruiten Family Winery is more than "Five Stars." They have great wine selections and staff are friendly and outstanding. I "HIGHLY" recommend everyone to try this place. We enjoyed live music (and bring your own picnic) on their shaded patio. If you are visiting/staying in Lodi, you can use Lyft/Uber to go to and from this winery and not worry about driving. Also, the winery have excellent frozen pies for sale too!!

Stayed here with our RV as a Harvest Host guest. Plenty of room for our 44 foot class A and our tow vehicle. Great winery and everyone was very welcoming! We did a wine tasting before setting in for the night. We purchased some great wine too!

Absolutely a must ! Enjoyed every bit of the experience. The manager Akaylia was super nice and gave us a personal tour. Beside being a perfect host she is also a good photographer so do ask her to take your picture !

All I have to say is that I'm so glad that I became a member of Van Ruiten Winery! They have great wines, hosts, great wine release parties, venue is nice and the Pinot Noir is way better than The Frank Family's Pinot Noir which used to be my favorite. Thank You!

I absolutely love the chardonnay. I first bought it at Total Wine and when I went to find it again, they said they no longer carried it. Searched online and to my delight I found they are in Lodi, which is real close to me. I will be going there to get my delicious chardonnay in the near future.

Amazingly fun! At this time of covid, you have to call ahead and reserve a table for one of their timed seatings, but it well worth the effort. The wines are "buy the bottle" but the prices are excellent and they have a live band playing out on the patio area.. it was just what we needed as we attempt to return to normal 👍
