Lecture Series: Matt Abraham
Admission
Overview
The Haggin Museum Lecture Series invites the community to explore the stories behind the museum’s collections while also venturing into a wide range of fascinating topics in art, history, and culture. Through engaging presentations by authors, artists, and subject-matter experts, the series deepens understanding of the works on view and connects them to broader ideas and discoveries, while also highlighting subjects beyond the museum’s holdings. Each lecture offers an opportunity to learn, reflect, and engage with new perspectives in an inspiring setting.
Join local Stockton novelist Matt Abraham as he answers questions about his work and discusses where he gets the inspiration for his stories. Expanding on the latter, he’ll delve into the work required to actualize ideas onto the page and the strategies necessary to build a successful network and marketing plan. He’ll also be reading a few excerpts from his yet-to-be-released novel Rough and Ready, part three of the Northland Mystery series, as well as revisiting little-known facts about his first two works.
This program is included with regular museum admission.
