Professor Sprout's Muggle World Herbology Walk

Join our docent as she conjures up Professor Sprout, a wizarding world gardener and herbologist as she leads you on an adventure through the Dark Forest, oops, we mean the Native Plant Garden and Trail at the Oak Grove Nature Center. Here, you’ll learn about the magical properties of real native California plants in our “muggle” world and how they might be related to some of the well-known wizarding realm plants like Mandrake Root. We’ll explore how Indigenous people used plants as well as how some modern medicines have come from them. 

This 45 minute-walk is family-friendly, easy and level, less than 1/2 mile. The Nature Center will be open after the walk. The walk and Nature Center are free, but there is a $6/car (cash) park entry fee. Bring a picnic and have lunch afterwards in the gorgeous oak woodland! No pets, please.
