Scratchboard Workshop with Caroline Henry
Saturday June 10th 10am-2pm
Scratchboard Workshop with Caroline Henry at the Goodwin Gallery for all levels. Finish the afternoon with two scratchboard drawings and an abundance of knowledge about the scratchboard process.
Schedule:
Part I (90mins) 10am-11:30am
Create an animal portrait from a traced photo. 5x5 square. Students may bring a photo of a pet or wild animal or use an animal photo from my collection.
11:30am Break for Lunch
Bring your lunch or explore the many food options on the Miracle Mile.
Part II (90mins) 12:30pm - 2:00pm
Create a Still Life from a small still life setup
Skills taught: how to use various scratch board tools. use of white carbon paper and with scratchboard, types of scratchboard surfaces, showing fur or feathers, deciding on and creative backgrounds, techniques such as cross-hatching that are the same in ink drawing and scratchboard, creating your own drawing directly on scratchboard as a step beyond tracing a photo or drawing. 5x5 Square
Fee: $45 non-members / $40.50 for Stockton Art League Members
