Delis, Breakfast & Brunch
Then going there for a long time now since the 90s great food wonderful service wonderful people that work there highly recommend checking it out never been there. God bless establishment and the people that work there.
Man I loved this place but haven't been back since the pandemic stuff and what have you. Returned yesterday and I must say things were a bit different. I know everybody has off days every now and then but the French Toast could have been better. They were a bit runny still and overall, other items of breakfast were not up to par if you will. Service was still good as usual but something was off this time. I do not know if its because of a new cook or something but I like this place so much, I will give them another try. Can't be perfect all the time.
Wonderful portions. Eggs cooked to perfection. Waitress was pleasant and caring. Old fashioned ambiance, good old fashioned breakfasts.
Family owned and operated and they make you feel at home. I love the self-serve coffee and water. Food is delicious and fast. Biggest pancakes in town!
The food was good, the service was good. An old family place in the neighborhood. The food was nothing fancy, but adequate. I loved the neverending coffee pot. The coffee is ready, just grab a mug and pour yourself a cup!
Order a giant pancake to go and it'll be in a pizza box. Yup. Delicious! Amazing, very local, and very cozy, Casagrandes breakfasts have been here a very long time (I don't remember it not being there.) Everything is delicious and made to order. Everyone just makes themselves at home, many customers even pour their own coffee.
Breakfast House with an eclectic atmosphere. Great self serve coffee, large portion plates and friendly fun staff. Try the corned beef and eggs its like no other... so good. Like gravy? They have the best hands down. Casagrandes Satisfaction Guaranteed
Large portions, great food (had breakfast). Staff is friendly, love how they have the self serve counter for coffee and water and their prices are quite reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised! This is going to be my weekend breakfast spot from now on!
Love this place! Food is always good. Portions are huge and prices are low. Staff are very friendly. Best breakfast spot in Stockton.
I found a new place for My weekly visit to My Grandsons. The 16 inch pancake fed 6 of us and We still had leftovers😋 The second I called to order the voice on the other line was so warm and Friendly😍
Absolutely amazing place for a delicious breakfast for an excellent price! French toast, waffles, and pancakes are huge! Loved the coffee fresh from the pot! Great take out order process by delivering orders to your car. Great location and an friendly service! Can't go wrong with a visit here for a large breakfast to go!
Just ate here with the wife and we got their pancake combo and chicken fried steak & eggs. The pancake is served on medium sized pizza tray and completely covers the tray. We finished the chicken fried steak & eggs plus the toast and about 3/4's of the pancake together. I highly recommend everyone to eat hear at least once and show up hungry because you'll leave full and satiated. We'll be back again soon!
Visiting daughter and son in law in Stockton, enjoyed a good tasty filling breakfast the French Toast combo, because of COVID sitting is limited, friendly hostess, worth a visit.
Disclaimer: The staff (and fellow customers) are so darn nice, I just can't bring myself to rate lower than three stars but for integrity purposes I will disclaim that judging food alone, the highest I can honestly rate is 2.5 stars. Gosh, I can't stop gushing about servers and customer seated across from us: They gave my newly wed cousin marital advice, engaged in playful banter and we're kind enough to take phone pics for us (I mean our server even stood on a chair to get a perfect aerial view of our entire family). BUT, about the food... Starting with the big draw: the pancake that's the size of a Domino's medium pizza. If you're Texan or believe bigger is better, you'll love this over the top signature breakfast dish that puts the grande in Casagrandes. However, you may want to ask them to cook it a little longer; the center of one we ordered had some undercooked batter-ry spots which is kinda unforgivable when it comes to pancakes, but like I said, the folks here are so gosh darn nice that I'm not going to publicly criticize the pancake. I'm also not going to criticize the country fried steak. I took a few bites and immediately felt it put me in an MMA submission hold. I didn't finish my eggs either. High points were the country potatoes, which I liked the seasoning of, and the free coffee refills. I tasted my cousin's French toast. The presentation was excellent, visually inviting. But taste, and this is matter of preference, I don't like a strong egg taste in my French toast. I believe you should use egg but never taste egg. But for those that like eggy French toast, I'd recommend ordering this over the medium pizza pancake. Casagrandes is a good local place to go for coffee and conversation and for a few select breakfast food items. Mine would be: toast, butter, country potatoes with Cholula hot sauce, sausage links and a few cups of coffee. But if your breakfast expectations are a bit more grande, you may have to go elsewhere. Sidenote: Not sure why, but drinks served here came in a BBD glass, a place that I rated 2 stars and will never go to again. I'd go back to Casagrandes though, but not go out of my way to do so; if I happened to pass by in the morning (they're only open for breakfast hours), I'd definitely stop in for some coffee and chit-chat.
The people who work there made me feel welcome and they had a table all ready for me. A table that would give us some privacy to take care of notarizing the papers for my new client. They even asked me if I need anything while I was there. To the Owners and the Employees: Thank you for everything.
Large portions. Service left a lot to be desired. We had a party of 4. We ordered and waited. They finally brought out our toast. We waited a few minutes more and then they brought out 2 plates. They then served another guest. Then they brought out one more plate. They then served 2 other guests. Finally, they brought out the final plate. The table was basically halfway through their meals already. They need a lot of work on their service.
Food and service were great. Their pancakes are humongous, even the "smaller" version. I enjoyed my visit today. I had their #1 seller omelette with an added side pancake.
Had breakfast here the other morning with some friends. We were all quite satisfied with the food. I had an issue with the gravy on my chicken fried steak. It was way too spicy and unlike any “country gravy” that I’ve had before. I talked to our server. She said they are searching for a new supplier and this might be temporary. I hope so because I would love to enjoy another chicken fried steak breakfast but only with traditional country gravy. My friends had the French toast and said it was outstanding. We can’t wait to go back and order it again. This is a great breakfast spot. Closed Mondays. Otherwise open till 2 PM except Sundays when they close at noon.
This is what I needed this morning. Tasty food, generous portions, and an upbeat staff. Tri Tip Hash was delicious. Good pepper, just enough salt, and the eggs were cooked to a perfect Over Medium. Most places don't know how to cook an egg Over Medium It either comes out as Over Easy or Over Hard. Compliments to whoever was on the griddle. She even asked if she could get some treats for my service dog. I appreciate both the kindness and the fact that she asked first. Great form. I'll be back if I ever want breakfast in the area again.
