I haven't had a steak dinner like this in years. This place is great. It's pricey but they fill you up. Amg the people that work there are take care of you. Whatever they can do for you they will try there best to make you happy. I would've liked to meet the person cooking the food and give them a salute for a job well done
Excellent service and delicious steak! The cut was juicy and tender, served with a generous portion of fries and cooked veggies. They serve quality meat! Definitely the go-to steakhouse in the Stockton area. I even had a great laugh when I read their sign walking in the front door
I told my friends about this place with my highest recommendations. I go their often. This recommendation is always successful. The the food there is yummy and the stuff is efficient and cooperative. always when we visit this place we have a cheerful evening. I warmly recommend this restaurant.
Great Steak, but it will it Break Your Bank? The Steak: Let's talk about the steak. Simple put, AMAZING! The steak came out very quickly, but I did get there around 4:30 or so. The size was pretty good. I would have to say it was around 12 oz, but give or take an oz. I ordered the filet. It was huge and cooked correctly, a perfect medium rare. The filet was red in the middle and juicy with every bite. The seasoning enhanced the already tasty filet. The Bank: Be prepared for old bank roll to take a hit. At around $45 it is steep price, but comparable with other steakhouses in Stockton. There is not options here. Baked potato, onions strings, and a salad. If you want steak cooked correctly and one that might be worth the price, give El Rancho a chance. 4 out 5 stars for the price.
This place is no doubt one of the tastiest place to eat in the neighborhood. Every time I come there I am very pleased. They preserve their very high standard service and the highest level of meals they offer. You are always happy with this restaurant. Very recommended.
Wow!!! You walk in, chose your steak and go find a table. The waitress brings you an veggie platter and bread and asks you what kind of salad dressing! After a lovely salad, she brings you the most beautiful platter with your steak, cooked perfectly, a baked potato and onion strings! No menu, the only choice you make is type of steak and salad dressing! I am in love

Was delicious, but missed my lobster tail. Steak was right on! Wish I had more shrimp but the dinner was filling, salad, bread. Service was awesome, clean as usual!

Today Was My First Time Eating Out In Stockton And I Totally Enjoyed It.
Great food, great service. Only outdoor seating as of right now with overhead cover. They had fans and misters to help keep it cool.

I like this place! They give high class meals, their menu is varied, The chef in that spot is a real pro, I love very much trying all their dishes. The dishes are always of high class, the service towards the guests is helpful. I often eat in this restaurant and I was never discontended. I recommend it with no hesitation.
AMAZING!!!! Stopped in here with the wife and kids for dinner. Got some ribeye and the wife got lobster. I am BLOWN AWAY. Just a little pricey, but hey you get what you pay for!
The filet is fork tender. Everything was top quality and done to perfection.

Food is served very differently and are longer serving the shared relish tray; big bummer my favorite part of the meal. It's understandable I was bummed but I totally get it we all have to adjust to changes. We hadn't been to a restaurant since the pandemic for a sit down meal in house so it was nice being able to do so.
El Rancho uses only the highest quality ingredients including their beef, chicken, produce, and internationally-imported lobster. The bar has a very simple and enjoyable atmosphere. This little restaurant in Stockton, California is of Bay Area restaurant quality. Highly recommend visiting El Rancho!

Nice friendly staff and gregarious owner. Excellent splitting policy. They'll split your steak and give each of you full sides for a reasonable upcharge. Unfortunately, our steak was overcooked ( asked for medium, came out well) and tough. I don't feel it was as good quality beef as I've had there in the past.
The steak is extremely juicy and always cooked to perfection. El rancho inn knows how to do fine dining.

The wait was long but well worth it. The steak was cooked to perfection and the sides were great. Dessert was even better. Not cheap but worth every dollar!!!!!
Ray's El Rancho is a true gem. We camin to enjoy some great rib eyes . They were perfect . The price was well represented by the value in flavor. Page took wonderful care of us, and Ray stopped by for some gOod conversation.

We went out for Father's Day dinner, started late, could not get reservations anywhere.So we ordered at El Rancho to go when we got there,they had a table waiting for us. Absolutely 100% legit gastric experience. Everything was perfect. A very unexpected surprise for a 'side' of the road joint. The waitresses were very professional, knew there job and got it done with an efficiency the government could only drool over. The food (mine) was for sure hand done, no out of box here. This chef is bar none the best at what he does. The ambience at lunch was excellent, everybody happy. Real positive vibes. Will not only go out of my way to come again, but am sending friends.
Good energy, waiters were nice, gave us fresh bread and just the right temperature butter. Most places give you cold butter and cold bread. That wasn’t the case here. My salad was fresh and I ordered there country frida steak with mash potatoes 🔥🔥 5 STAR ALL THW WAY

This is the type of local restaurant by which you judge all other steak houses... and many fall short. El Rancho is true "old school" that puts its money into the food and service. Ambiance is lacking, no up-scale glitter, but the food is what brings you back, and back, and... We have never been disappointed. Each meal starts with a relish tray (old school!) warm fresh local Genoa bread, followed by soup or salad (go salad- you won't be disappointed) but leave room for steak, or chop or lobster. More than likely the owner -Ray- will stop by your table for a chat.
