Located in Stockton's historic Miracle Mile shopping district, Gian's Deli celebrates the traditions of Northern Italy. From the San Joaquin Valley and beyond, customers have come to know Gian’s Deli as their neighborhood deli for the past 40 years. From the aisles packed with imported Italian pastas, olive oils, and specialty Italian groceries, to the kitchen that exudes fresh scents of homemade foccacia and sausage, Gian’s Deli has preserved the heritage of “Old Italy.”
At Gian’s Deli you’ll find Italian cold cuts, imported cheeses, deli sandwiches on homemade foccacia and so much more! If there’s one thing Gian’s Deli is famously known for, it’s their amazing homemade raviolis and gravy. People from all over the county make special trips to pick up the raviolis for the holidays. Served hot on Mondays and Fridays and available in the freezer section, Gian’s raviolis are not to be missed! Gian’s Deli is also available to fulfill your catering needs.

Gian’s Deli is a solid local spot in Stockton. We came in for sandwiches—decent overall, but nothing mind-blowing. The house-made focaccia is a nice touch, but it didn’t stand out the way I expected. I grew up in Brooklyn around Italian American delis, so maybe my bar is just a bit higher. Sandwiches were on the smaller side for the price, and the flavor was good but not particularly memorable. That said, the vibe is friendly, the location is convenient, and I actually appreciate that it’s cash only. That’s not a downside in my book. I’d definitely come back to try the homemade pasta or switch up the sandwich order—there’s probably more to explore on the menu that might hit better. A decent deli, especially by Stockton standards.
I'm visiting from Texas and was looking for a quick bite—I'm so glad I found this gem! I ordered the #10 on French bread with extra mayo, paired it with regular Lay’s and a Calypso drink, and it totally hit the spot. If you're looking for a sandwich that stands out from the rest, I highly recommend this place. Heads up: They only accept cash! There’s an ATM on-site, but it charges a $3.49 fee for withdrawals. Hit that follow button for more finds! 🥖😎
Lovely place to get a sandwich. Service is always fast and friendly. Taste is phenomenal. I was craving the #9 with focaccia all week and treated myself to it during lunch today. Owner is incredibly friendly and puts a lot of care into his craft!
Was really good. They didn’t have onions to put on the sandwiches which caught me off guard. They said I wouldn’t even notice there weren’t onions. I ended up getting a veggie pasta salad which had onions in it and added it to half my samich. I tired it my way with added onions from the pasta salad and the normal way they made it and the normal way they made it was indeed better without the onions. The red peppers and wax peppers were their signature toppings. They do take cash only so prepare for that if u decide to visit. I got a sand which drink bag of chips ravioli and pasta salad I spent $27. I will be going back again
