Due to flight issues, I ended up flying to Sacramento and then had a four drive, but at 1am, that wasn't happening. Booked thif place. First, this is not an interior corridor hotel. Second, yes, it is under renovation or updating. The third cost was decent. Fourth, the picture online is not thid hotel. Unlike other reviews, I did not see homeless camp outside fence, bed bugs, drug dealers, or issues with loudness. HOWEVER, as soon as I walked in, there was a roach, R.I.P roach. I thought crap what's next. Well didnt see any other bugs after that. Bed was comfortable but seemed a little worn. Room 142 appeared updated. There was no hotel signage outside the entrance. Again, they were renovating. Breakfast don't bother, go to ihop right in front of hotel. However, I got a solid 5 hours of sleep and was able to continue my journey.
Our room has been updated and was pretty good, and more updates are underway, but deferred maintenance was obvious. The lobby was completely stripped. Breakfast included as a go bag. In the room we had a refrigerator, coffee pot, and a microwave.
Decent place to spend the night. I made a last minute booking because I was too tired to drive home. It was difficult to find my room and there were no toothbrushes available for purchase. Rooms looked recently renovated but the rest of the hotel looks older.
The room was very clean. Tje bed was comfy. I didn't get to use the pool, but it looked to be crystal clear. The parking lot is surrounded by an iron gate, making vehicles secure.
Like a previous review said, this is a motel that was bought out by La Quinta. Now besides that fact alone, they did upgrade the rooms nicely and the king bed was good to sleep in. The AC unit worked great and kept the room cold. Besides the motel style, the only issue I had was whenever I booked the room I requested the handicap accommodations just in case one of my travelers needed it. When I arrived they told me it was all booked. Thankfully I ended up not needing it anymore but if anyone is requiring this I recommend calling them when you book because they might run out without telling you until you arrive. Their breakfast was decent, waffles, yogurts, juices, bagels. Nothing extra fancy but decent for the price. Majority of the staff was friendly and helpful.
