Overview
Located in Lincoln Center, Sho Mi places a premium on details. Adorned with contemporary oil paintings and fresh orchids, this Japanese restaurant's quality also extends to their food. After ordering at the counter, patrons claim a table and are served their selection minutes later. Sushi and sashimi answer the call for sweet, mild seafood, and shumai and edamame make tasty complements. First time eating at this restaurant. Was expecting a sit down order but you order at a counter when you walk in. After looking over the menu we ordered 2 rolls of Sushi. One was the Cowboy roll and the other was a salmon sushi. The food was amazing and reasonable priced. Don't let ordering at the counter then sitting down keep you from trying going to this amazing restaurant.
I adore japanese food and Shomi is my favorite anywhere. i love the flavor and texture of their eel. It makes everything they put it on better, which is already delicious? They have a wonderfully large variety of sushi, and even when I'm trying something different, I always have to order a special role. It is amazing. Tonight I added cream cheese to it for the first time and it was great! Occasionally, I order something that is not sushi, and it is always delicious as well.

This was our very first time trying this restaurant. The ordering process was different with having to order first then finding your table. With that being the only hiccup to most other restaurants we really enjoyed our food,service, and the atmosphere. The food was incredible and all the servings were absolutely delicious and big servings in comparison to other Japanese style restaurants we have tried. The service was perfect. The atmosphere was great for a family dinner or even if you and a romantic evening was occurring. If we ever are in the area again we would definitely go back!! If you are into Different types of Sake then this is place to be. I have not ever seen this many types of Sale in one place that has descriptions like this. It was fun flipping through all of these to learn about Sake!!!
The ahi tuna salad has just the right amount of dressing, and the sesame seeds on the tuna was a pleasant addition. Our waitress was friendly, and it was nice to see the restaurant fill up as lunch began.
