Located in Lincoln Center, Sho Mi places a premium on details. Adorned with contemporary oil paintings and fresh orchids, this Japanese restaurant's quality also extends to their food. After ordering at the counter, patrons claim a table and are served their selection minutes later. Sushi and sashimi answer the call for sweet, mild seafood, and shumai and edamame make tasty complements. Rice and noodle bowls are also available, along with chicken, pork, salmon, and shrimp prepared a variety of ways. Established in 1995, Shomi has been the staple of Japanese food in Stockton.
You would expect that ramen 101 has really good ramen but this place is so much better and it's right across the street. It has great variety and the servers are very nice. The only complaint I have is that it's always busy, but it's definitely justified!
Simple and easy dine in or take out experience, food is always fresh and service is always friendly, also open later than other nearby restaurants...
To anyone who likes sushi come here. They have very good food and always make sure you a satisfied
I love this place it's been my go-to spot for many years the so she's always fresh every single plate I've tried from them has been super good.
I have to say I was very disappointed with the the customer service, no one was friendly , no one smiled , and YES even though they are masked, you can still tell when someone is smiling or even enthusiastic to help, this is SOOO NOT the case here... when I asked my waitress what she recommended , she knew nothing about the menu... We ordered calamari for our appetizer instead we got what tasted like fish sticks with tarter sauce. NOT GOOD AT ALL!! I will say that the 3 rolls we ordered were very good. Not to eager about going back soon. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE OWNER PHIL JUST LAUGHS AT PEOPLES REVIEWS...
Food was good, nit worth a 35 minute wait, tables were nothing nice, not a place to take a date.
They are pretty organized at this restaurant. I like the fact that you are required to order and pay first before being seated. The service was excellent and everyone here is nice.
So, my Wife used to come to work with me when she had Tuesdays. She mentioned wanting Sushi. I agreed. I have to give this place 4 of 5 stars. The service could have been better. The dining room a little cleaner. Too stark for a sushi place. I'd have been happier if it was about 20% cheaper! (It wasn't expensive but if it was 20% cheaper? I think it would have been right for the experience)
I had tried over 300 sushi restaurants all over the world and I really disappointed with the foods here. My wife and the kids was hungry so we made the random stop to try out this sushi but 3 can not take more than 2 peices because it too salty, the rice is a bit dry. I gave 2 extra star 1 for a cleanest restaurant and 1 for the waitress. But the foods I wouldn't recommend.
Only bad thing is cash needed... the food is great, rolls are great... staff friendly and good customer service. I would recommend this sushi restaurant to family, friends and strangers...
Tasty sushi. Family friendly. Waited in line for a few minutes, but was not a big deal. Different set up with other sushi place. Would eat here again and try their noodles.
Had a great experience at Shomi sushi. Food is getting fresh in the customer service is what you would expect at a restaurant like this. Ordering is a little different the most places you order your food first and then you take a seat. After you're done eating dinner you could go over to Limitless and try your luck at the escape room 🤣
Besides the great food all the ladies that work there are very pleasant and sweet
Fresh and Delicious. It's been many years since I've last eaten here. But very happy to return 🍣
I visit this excellent place once a month since I enjoy the special atmosphere that is part of this restaurant. The crew is very welcoming and well trained. The service is pretty fast. Most important, the food you eat is first-rate. I have been there many times and I was never disappointed. The pay is modest. I highly recommend this place to all my friends.
We went on a busy day yet we received really good service. Food did take a bit longer than expected but they had a full house so it’s understandable. They have an amazing outdoor setup, probably better than it was when you eat indoors. Service is always great, they do a great job of keeping up with Covid Restaurant regulations. Food is always solid, prices are affordable. Totally recommend for casual dining.
Great veg/vegan options that are super tasty! Agedashi tofu is a favorite. About 5 veggie roll options most around $5. A couple are a little higher at $8. Friendly staff. Outside seating for the pandemic. Will return!
Very clean & fresh with outdoor dining the best japanese food in San Joaquin County.
Since I do not eat meat, I decided to order the rolls that contain avocado, rice, and carrots. Pretty tasty. I just wish there were more vegan options here.
This place never fails to impress. They have fantastic dishes for reasonable pricing, there no long wait even when they are busy.
I have been here for awhile since owners changed I finally decide to see how it was. Well, to my surprise a lot people gave them rate of 4 or 5 stars. I thought why not give a try. I'm glad I did. The food was tasty and fresh. The sashimi was fresh and my son chicken katsu was delicious.😋 The customer service was very friendly and helpful. 🤗 After that I went back many times and what love most is just down road from. 😁 My advise to give this place try. Have a good adventure. 😎
Love their ordering and service format. Order and pay at the counter, then they bring your food to your table. Everyone is super nice and courteous. FOOD IS DELISHH! If you love standard Japanese and sushi...add ShoMi to your new favorites 🇯🇵❤.
Seems a little awkward With the new covid ordering process But once we ordered and sat down a got our food It was great. Service was great and the food was great too For my daughters birthday dinner.
I really love eating their sushi’s here! Not only that, they serve really presentable and delicious food. They give a pretty good amount of portions, and I get pretty full off it. I was highly satisfied with my meal.

It's the same as it used to be very good fast service you just go up and order at the counter then you can either eat inside or outside they'll bring it to you
It was my first time here and the sushi was delicious. The portion was good for the price. I wish the curry had some meat though. But overall I had a great experience dining in with my family.
We ordered the hot Okinawa milk tea and we loved it! Ramen was large enough to share for two, and was very good. We ordered the gyoza fried, expecting it to be pan-fried, but it seemed like it was actually deep fried. Wasn't bad, wasn't great. The lion king roll was plated beautifully, but looked better than it tasted.
Food was good but nothing to write home about. Gets 4/5 mostly because Stockton isn't exactly littered with casual sushi joint options.
Went here a few times before making this review. 3/4 times, the wait from ordering to receiving the food was annoyingly long. The longest was 53 minutes and they got one of the orders wrong. The other consistent issue is that the sushi rolls are so loosely put together that they fall apart when you pick a piece up. One interesting thing that could be said is that they do have a different take on common rolls. Not a bad thing, but if you're used to seeing a roll a "common" way, you'll find a slightly different take on sushi rolls here.
Sat at the bar. Had a LITTLE bit of a delay and wait in comparison on food with the person I went with. The food was very good (had the vegetable tempura Vento box) besides the wait. If I have another opportunity I'd definitely go again and try their servings of other dishes!
Benefit of the doubt, during prime lunch hour there seemed to be a half utilization of seating area. An entire side of the restaurant seemed closed off. Could be wrong but that's what I saw. Food was great! Sushi order took 25 minutes to get to my table, which wasn't great but allowed me to unexpectedly slow down and enjoy the entres: Large Miso soup and Fried Calamari which were excellent!
One of the best sushi places in Stockton. The quality of the fish is excellent, try the Hamachi Carpaccio or the Seared Tuna salad. The rolls are very taste and they make it easy to order online and pick up.
Izakaya. Defs. Thank you. Recommend salmon skin salad especially. I would like to write more but why waste your time reading?
This lovely small Japanese restaurant offers excellent service. The unagi was delicious and tasted extremely fresh. We also really liked the calamari and variety of the tempura veg. The calamari had a velvety texture and was cooked well. It was really nice to see seasonal winter squash in the tempura and it was very tasty. That being said there were some issues. I ordered a dragon roll which was good but was lacking unagi on several pieces. I was a little sad due to the eel being so good. It just wasn't on every piece. My wife got gyu-don and was a little disappointed that it didn't have a traditional fried egg. It was also a too sweet for her palate. You do have to order and pay before sitting which was different.
