Located in Lincoln Center, Sho Mi places a premium on details. Adorned with contemporary oil paintings and fresh orchids, this Japanese restaurant's quality also extends to their food. After ordering at the counter, patrons claim a table and are served their selection minutes later. Sushi and sashimi answer the call for sweet, mild seafood, and shumai and edamame make tasty complements. Rice and noodle bowls are also available, along with chicken, pork, salmon, and shrimp prepared a variety of ways. Established in 1995, Shomi has been the staple of Japanese food in Stockton.
So, my Wife used to come to work with me when she had Tuesdays. She mentioned wanting Sushi. I agreed. I have to give this place 4 of 5 stars. The service could have been better. The dining room a little cleaner. Too stark for a sushi place. I'd have been happier if it was about 20% cheaper! (It wasn't expensive but if it was 20% cheaper? I think it would have been right for the experience)
I had tried over 300 sushi restaurants all over the world and I really disappointed with the foods here. My wife and the kids was hungry so we made the random stop to try out this sushi but 3 can not take more than 2 peices because it too salty, the rice is a bit dry. I gave 2 extra star 1 for a cleanest restaurant and 1 for the waitress. But the foods I wouldn't recommend.
Only bad thing is cash needed... the food is great, rolls are great... staff friendly and good customer service. I would recommend this sushi restaurant to family, friends and strangers...
Tasty sushi. Family friendly. Waited in line for a few minutes, but was not a big deal. Different set up with other sushi place. Would eat here again and try their noodles.
Had a great experience at Shomi sushi. Food is getting fresh in the customer service is what you would expect at a restaurant like this. Ordering is a little different the most places you order your food first and then you take a seat. After you're done eating dinner you could go over to Limitless and try your luck at the escape room 🤣
Besides the great food all the ladies that work there are very pleasant and sweet
Fresh and Delicious. It's been many years since I've last eaten here. But very happy to return 🍣
I visit this excellent place once a month since I enjoy the special atmosphere that is part of this restaurant. The crew is very welcoming and well trained. The service is pretty fast. Most important, the food you eat is first-rate. I have been there many times and I was never disappointed. The pay is modest. I highly recommend this place to all my friends.
We went on a busy day yet we received really good service. Food did take a bit longer than expected but they had a full house so it’s understandable. They have an amazing outdoor setup, probably better than it was when you eat indoors. Service is always great, they do a great job of keeping up with Covid Restaurant regulations. Food is always solid, prices are affordable. Totally recommend for casual dining.
Great veg/vegan options that are super tasty! Agedashi tofu is a favorite. About 5 veggie roll options most around $5. A couple are a little higher at $8. Friendly staff. Outside seating for the pandemic. Will return!
Very clean & fresh with outdoor dining the best japanese food in San Joaquin County.
Since I do not eat meat, I decided to order the rolls that contain avocado, rice, and carrots. Pretty tasty. I just wish there were more vegan options here.
This place never fails to impress. They have fantastic dishes for reasonable pricing, there no long wait even when they are busy.
I have been here for awhile since owners changed I finally decide to see how it was. Well, to my surprise a lot people gave them rate of 4 or 5 stars. I thought why not give a try. I'm glad I did. The food was tasty and fresh. The sashimi was fresh and my son chicken katsu was delicious.😋 The customer service was very friendly and helpful. 🤗 After that I went back many times and what love most is just down road from. 😁 My advise to give this place try. Have a good adventure. 😎
Love their ordering and service format. Order and pay at the counter, then they bring your food to your table. Everyone is super nice and courteous. FOOD IS DELISHH! If you love standard Japanese and sushi...add ShoMi to your new favorites 🇯🇵❤.
Seems a little awkward With the new covid ordering process But once we ordered and sat down a got our food It was great. Service was great and the food was great too For my daughters birthday dinner.
I really love eating their sushi’s here! Not only that, they serve really presentable and delicious food. They give a pretty good amount of portions, and I get pretty full off it. I was highly satisfied with my meal.

It's the same as it used to be very good fast service you just go up and order at the counter then you can either eat inside or outside they'll bring it to you
It was my first time here and the sushi was delicious. The portion was good for the price. I wish the curry had some meat though. But overall I had a great experience dining in with my family.
We ordered the hot Okinawa milk tea and we loved it! Ramen was large enough to share for two, and was very good. We ordered the gyoza fried, expecting it to be pan-fried, but it seemed like it was actually deep fried. Wasn't bad, wasn't great. The lion king roll was plated beautifully, but looked better than it tasted.
Went here a few times before making this review. 3/4 times, the wait from ordering to receiving the food was annoyingly long. The longest was 53 minutes and they got one of the orders wrong. The other consistent issue is that the sushi rolls are so loosely put together that they fall apart when you pick a piece up. One interesting thing that could be said is that they do have a different take on common rolls. Not a bad thing, but if you're used to seeing a roll a "common" way, you'll find a slightly different take on sushi rolls here.
