Better known as "The Waterloo," this family-run operation has been serving the same great food to overflowing crowds for over 23 years, and it just keeps getting better and better all the time. All items are prepared fresh and are of the highest quality. Most of the recipes originated right here, including Bette's World Famous BBQ sauce and Pesto. Please sit back and enjoy the whole "Waterloo Experience".
It's normally a little crowded but if you can't wait, their whole menu can be prepared to go. Come hungry because they have overwhelming portions. At this fun restaurant, they really know how to mix it up on the grill. One of their signature dishes is the savory barbecued ribs, served as an appetizer or an entree. The pesto pasta is so good you will drive clear across town to get it.

First time here and I love it! The atmosphere, food… the combination complimented each other. But let’s get to the food.. amazing!!! Portion sizes and taste does not disappoint!! I can’t tell you what’s a favorite as they were all so delicious! Their BBQ sauce it in point! If you have not been, it should definitely be on your priority list! I can’t wait to go back!

The food is good overall. The ribs are very good and juicy not dry at all. We ordered the steak which was the bummer of the night asked for medium, well and was almost burned and dry. For the price I think it was not the best steak. The service is great and fast. Atmosphere is very inviting.

Nice Restaurant, definitely off the mark on a back road..but don't let the location fool you! It's a busy place for locals. Very popular bar too! Ribs and chicken were a great combination 😋 meat was delicious and fell off the bone. Great flavor. Had sauce on the side..which seemed happy to see us. Lol. Will definitely try again.

I made the mistake of telling the hostess that I wanted the special with milk in a frosted glass. Then I waited and waited, and a server asked if I placed my order. I said, "I think so." Two others stopped by to ask if I had ordered. I told them both, "I hope so, but I was still waiting." Eventually, a man in an apron brought my lunch.

I hadn't been in about 30 years and soon as I walked in it was close to the way I remembered. The food was just as I remembered really good. This place is a gem and is worth the trip out if only for the pesto.

We either get the calamari on Friday nights. My hubbie gets the clams and baked potato. I get the salmon and pesto pasta w/salad.

This place is great. High end quality food in a very casual setting. The also have a full bar. Their steak is top notch. We get steak and spaghetti. The only thing there I don’t care for is the peppercorn sauce. It’s just not me. If you’ve never eaten here, you owe it to yourself to try it. I keep looking for a better steak. But haven’t found one yet.

It is a five star restaurant. But there prices went up almost $10 a plate. Same amount of food. Nothing different. $ 85 for 2 people. Once a year stop for me.. Bring alot of money!! Update 3/7/24. I had fun last night celebrating my daughter's birthday. The food has stepped up.. I was impressed!! Taking more time on the plates. Thank you for the wonderful waitress she was awesome.

It's cute little restaurant in the middle of no where, however was not impressed by the food. Steak sandwich had way too much cheese (didn't think this was possible) and wasn't even melted. It was tough and chewy. One thing that was super yummy was the aju. I'd go back just for that. The staff is fantastic. Friendly and attentive.

We've always passed by this place but have never tried it until the other day for my birthday and let me tell you they have the best shrimp fettuccine ever! Everything tastes so good and their portions are very plentiful! We will definitely be going back.

Had a friend recommend this place, my sister and I went on a Sunday. OMG had the special..Ribeye and scampi with the pesto..sis had the ribs. It was absolutely delicious !! The kind of meal even though I was full I still wanted to eat more. had to literally turn my plate around from the steak to work on the pesto. No way could I finish..I've found my happy place ‼️ go see for yourself you won't be disappointed..a little noisy but worth it..

Dad and I went to dinner here after seeing the Bond film. We were hungry, on a Sunday night and didn't want fast food. Waterloo was hopping. We ordered the steak ($42) with salad and pesto pasta and split it. There was plenty for both of us, they split the salad too. Steak was the best I've had outside of Fleming's in SJ! We enjoyed it so much we ordered the tiramisu (for each of us!) All told, bill was about $80, but well worth it. Will come back, bringing the wife.

The most delicious pesto that I've ever had and the chicken and ribs were awesome too. Great service even though they were very busy. We did go at a busy time though. Saturday night at 6:30. Worth the wait.

Paloma is the such an amazing server! She deserves a raise or something for how nice and considerate she was with me and my family. Food was expensive but thats a given with the restaurant. Ribs on point skip the chicken for the ribs. Chocolate milk has free refills and you need to tell them to be generous with the syrup. Pasta was alright nothing to interesting. Environment was super loud so expect to be loud to get noticed.

Everything I ordered was spectacular. I am now a big fan of their style of ribs which are not fall off the bone. Their cobbler pie with ice cream was the perfect dessertto top my meal. Such a hidden gem that's surprisingly only 10 minutes from my house!

So good! 1st time here! My Brother took us all out for lunch here and it was all very good! The mushroom appetizer and rib ends were a great start. I got a teriyaki steak and it was so juicy and flavourful. The kids meals were great too! I got a gift card for my grandfather before we left so we can share the gift that my Brother shared with us! Highly recommend.

As always the Waterloo never fails to provide great food in a friendly atmosphere. They are known for their barbecue as being the best around. Staff are courteous and attentive as are the bartenders. I highly recommend this place but come early because it will fill up fast. Even if it is full its definitely worth the wait.

I just had a date night here and this was by far one of the best dining experiences I have had. One of the dishes didnt come out perfectly and they took it back and tried to take the dish off our bill and give us dessert on them. Because of the amazing service and absolute care they took of us we refused the offer of the free dishes( they took the appetizer,which was not the dish in question, and the dessert off the bill anyway) we left a good tip and will be returning for another date night. The food was delicious and the service beyond wonderful. Thank you for being amazing.

The food here is excellent. The NY Steak is surprisingly very good. I didn't expect a steak that good from this restaurant but, afterall it is a country restaurant. The Pesto sauce for the pasta is also a must. If you have any question of how good this establishment is take a look at all the walls. There are pictures everywhere of celebrities that have stopped in here to eat. A must stop if your ever traveling on HWY 88.

This unassuming roadside restaurant has delectable food!! The ribs tender and juicy!! The scampi delicious! The salmon not fishy and well cooked! They were very busy for a Sunday. The service was great and very quick. We definitely will be coming back and we live an hr away!!

Typically my go-to ribs are smoked BBQ ones, but these restaurant-style ones were fall-off-the-bone delicious. And that pesto. It's dangerously easy to overeat here. $22 gets you a fat slab of ribs and a huge helping of their famous pesto. It's a one of a kind place in the area, make the drive out if you haven't already!

I enjoy eating at the Waterloo Restaurant! I especially like to eat in the older part of the restaurant because of the ambiance. My favorites to eat there are the ribs, roasted chicken, pesto and lemon cheese cake for desert. If you can't make up your mind if you want to eat ribs or roasted chicken you can have both!

This place is super cool. The old saloon atmosphere is shared with an abundance of sports memorabilia. The food is very flavorful with portions large enough to share. If you ever visit I recommend starting off your meal with a mushroom bowl.

I moved here in 2013. Everyone I've met from Lodi RAVED about Waterloo. Now for one reason or another I had never been there till last night. They were busy but we'll organized. The food here is very good you get a good side dish selection. The only problem is if you're not into heavy Meats like ribs and chicken there is not much else to eat. It's got a good bar and nice bar restaurant ambiance figure about 25 bucks for the ribs. It would just be nice if it had a wider selection and maybe some Cobb salads are Chef salads or something like that if you don't want to overload on heavy meat. Friendly staff.
