Me and my wife tried Yen Du Chinese food. It was sooooo good. We had fried shrimp rice with fried chicken wings, crab rangoon puff and sweat and sour fried chicken and eight delicatessens mixed seafood with meat. Everything was cooked delicious and amazing. No complaints at all , service was good and place was clean
My wife and I had lunch there in which I ordered the Mongolian beef and she ordered the chicken chow mein. We also ordered the orange chicken and which all three courses were delicious. I recommend that you get there a little before noon because the lunch card comes in and it can get quite busy. The hostess along with the servers were excellent and very friendly I highly recommend this place
Our family loves Yen Du! Not only does the food taste fresh and delicious every time we go, but the workers there are very friendly and welcoming. Our favorite Chinese restaurant in Stockton!
Food is very well made. Had the rice sizzling soup which was pretty cool to watch and very tasty. The waiter was also very kind and attentive to always refill water and check on the table. The honey walnut prawns were very well prepared and some of the best I have had in a while. The restaurant has a nice clean look as well, even though it was in a weird alleyway when driving in. Luckily, they do have a parking lot so parking was not an issue. Pricing was not too bad either since the portions were huge and enough to share; the small soup serving was enough for even 6 bowls of soup. Overall a great experience with the food and the service.
One of our mainstay restaurants. Foods are always high quality and always delicious. Staff is very courteous and meals are prepared quickly. Menu offers a good selection so we often order differently. Never disappointed. Highly recommend !
Always great. I've been coming here for years and absolutely love the string bean beef. Unlike some other places I've been to, there's is always cooked perfectly
Always a very friendly greeting and atmosphere. The food is great, tasty and delicious. A great place to take a family for dinner. 8-)
One of the better Chinese restaurants in Stockton. The food was good and the service was quick and friendly. Matthew did a wonderful job serving our party of 7.
I've been going to Yen Du for years with my family, and every time I have a wonderful time! We've become familiar guests to the joint and love the owners and their family! The Chow Mein, Sizzling Rice Soup, Fried Prawns and anything else you order there are GREAT. Whenever I am back at home I bug my family that we always need to head over to Yen Du. Love it so much!!
Would surely recommend trying this place. Awesome character, tasty food, fantastic customer service. Keep up the good work.
The food was so good we went the following day and tried something 😋 different.
OK where do I start, The food is amazing very authentic we always order every Sunday I myself love the chicken assorted vegetables extra spicy.mybhusband always orders the sweet sour pork its very crisp not soggy like other places the garlic chicken is so bomb. I can go on and on. The food is amazing and delicious the people are so nice and friendly also they really know how to treat there customers.
Great family owned business. The food is hot and fresh and they have a very clean area to pick up food.
Americanized-Chinese food in Stockton. If you adjust your expectation first, the food is alright. For the record, I was raised in China so my standard for Chinese food may be very different from those who were born in the US. The hostess/cashier/waiter boss lady was super nice and efficient, she also told us this place was a family business as one of the waiters was her son. Dishes I recommend: 1) Salt and pepper chicken wings - nicely fried wings, very juicy. It was on the salty side because of the salt, peppercorn and jelapeno crumbles on the top. Be careful, it was hot when it first came out, you might burn yourself if you don't let it cool 2) Eggplant with garlic sauce - no skin, strips of eggplant fried and covered in a sweet gaic sauce. It was delicous with rice 3) Shrimp fried rice - one of my friends who doesn't eat too much Chinese food deemed it "the best I've ever had" Tip: This place is not big and gets very busy at lunch during the weekdays, so either come early if be prepared to wait during peak lunch hour (12-1PM)
We always enjoy our trips to this restaurant. Great food and great service. Friendly staff ! I believe that this is a family owned restaurant. This Chinese food seems lighter than most, which is refreshing. Service is fine, location good, quiet atmosphere. The restaurant is very attractive inside. recommend
Had dinner here tonight, we were visiting folks in town, food was pretty good... We haven't been here in a very long time and it was good.
Yen Du is the best Chinese restaurant in Stockton. Great family run business, excellent service, friendly servers.
The atmosphere is suited well for business meetings and family celebrations. The owners and staff treat you like family and call their regulars by name. This is a must stop for travelers and is well worth the drive of about a mile off the freeway. We've been going here for more than 25 years and have never been disappointed.
First time trying this place and I really liked the fried shrimp. I enjoyed their veggie mix, I liked the variety of veggies they put in it. I also got chicken fried rice which was pretty good. I would most definitely like to try out more of their dishes👌🏾. I would recommend 👍🏾
Love this place are shop orders at least once a week for lunch, freshly cooked. Hot food. Taste great, worth the cost. Love it!!!
We were from out of town visiting family. The food was amazing, the restaurant was busy and the food still came out faster than I could finish my drink! Staff was friendly and did not rush us as we finished our meal, paid, hung out, and they still refilled our drinks.
Went here based on reviews while driving through the area. It stood up to its reputation. Excellent food - every item we tried was great including the soup. The ambience was traditional and nice. The server was very courteous and helpful - he noted and took care of the allergy info some ppl in our party had. Overall great place!
Amazing food and service. The flavor is on point. Awesome atmosphere and lighting. Can't wait to go back
We love this place. The house chicken is unique and not too sweet. The Mongolian beef has a very rich, hearty flavor to it. Almost like maybe there's some organ meat in the gravy?? I don't know but it's really good. We usually just get the Dinner A for 2 and haven't ever been disappointed. They're back to dine-in so it's hard to get thru on the phone for carry out. Just go in and order then wait in your car it'll take 20 minutes, tops.
My husband enjoyed his fried rice with crispy chicken. I tried it and it was indeed bomb. My chicken pad ti wasn't though. It was a sweet type with too much sauce, too little bean spouts, too much fish sauce with too little chicken. The hostess was nice. She was an elderly woman who was hard of hearing and a tad neglectful but meant well. All and all my husband had a great time while I could barely sit through my meal. As far as pad time goes I'd rather go to royal sayam. I apologize if I misspelled some things.
AWESOME! Best Chinese food in town! They're a lot more affordable for lunch though. Went for dinner yesterday and you can get the dinner for two, three, etc, which is cheaper, but no choices. For 2 people ($30.00), you get: sizzling rice soup, pot stickers, house chicken, Mongolian beef (hot and spicy), steamed rice. For 3, add prawns a la Yen Du ($45.00), and for 4, add vegetable combo ($58.00). If you don't, you have to buy everything "al la cart", which really adds up. But I guess compared to other Chinese places it's the same. We got a platter of garlic chicken, which is boneless chicken meat cooked with water chestnuts, onions and garlic- $8.95, sweet & sour chicken-$8.95, Prawns a la Yen Du- $11.50, Northern Style Vegetable Deluxe- $8.50, and 4 Spring Rolls (Egg Rolls)- $5.50. But, THESE PRICES MAY NOT BE ACCURATE AS I CAN'T FIND A CURRENT MENU ONLINE, and we paid $47.90 for this food, plus a $7 tip it came to 54.90 for two people (6/2/21). The food and service are excellent, but I'm not giving 5 stars because of the dinner prices, and lack of dinner combo choices (they add $1 for every substitution!)- only having "am la cart" for dinner!
The food at Yen Du was wonderful, a great surprise. This is a very hidden gem!!! We have lived in Stockton three years and did not know it was her. The restaurant is beautiful also! The service was superior.
