Is there anything better than a slice or two of delicious pizza? A piping-hot pie makes for a delicious dinner, and anything left serves quite well as breakfast or lunch the next day. If the mere mention of pizza has you craving a slice, here's several places to choose from where you're guaranteed to satisfy those pizza pangs.
David's Pizza is the top choice for a lot of people. In fact, it's been making San Joaquin Magazine's list of best pizza restaurants every year since 1993. With that kind of record, they must be doing something right. The New York style pizza is one of several popular choices—though with hand-tossed dough and brick oven cooking, you can't go wrong with any choice.

Micheal's New York Style Pizza is another long-time staple in Stockton's pizza scene. They've been putting out perfect pies since 1978 and have also won numerous "best of" votes over the years. Their success isn't really a secret; they use only the freshest, hand-cut toppings. And if you do happen to have that odd person who doesn't like pizza in your group, their café also offers delicious burgers and many other options.

Unlike the first two entries on the list which specialize in New York style pizza, Dante's California Style Pizza embraces their home state's philosophy on pizza. Similar to New York style for its crust, the toppings are more reflective of California style cuisine. Each pie that comes from their kitchen is a special creation, resulting in a culinary work of art that is as much feast for the eyes as it is for the appetite.

The only thing better than a tasty and beautiful artisan-style pizza is one that comes to you. Fired Mobile Pizza Oven is just what its name suggests: A pizzeria on the go. The food truck contains a wood-fired pizza oven sourced from Italy, while the ingredients are sourced from local farms. You can find them at popular spots for food trucks around town, or even have them come to you for an epic event.

Sometimes you just need a hot pizza and a cold beer. Eric's New York Style Pizza is the go-to for so many people in need of that time-honored tradition. Of course the hand-tossed pizza is the star here, but they're also known for a dynamite minestrone. Have it delivered for pizza in your home, or enjoy it there in a "homelike" atmosphere. Eddie's is another long-time favorite for Stockton, as they have been serving excellent pizza for more than 35 years. The pizza is so popular that they have four locations. One location—the Benjamin Holt Dr. spot—attracts a lot of families with its large arcade. The spot on Hammer Lane also boasts a billiards hall. While there may be different things to do at each Eddie's, the one thing that is the same at all locations is the amazing pizza.

What goes better with good pizza than good beer? CAP'S Pizza and Tap House has plenty of both on hand, as well as great wings and other delicious eats. We know. Looking at their name, you wouldn't think they'd have pizza, but trust us. There is some fantastic pizza pies coming out of Smitty's Wings & Things. This spot has been open since 2013 and was featured in Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives!" On top of mastering some delicious wings and creating an abundance of zesty sauces to dip them in, owners Steve and Jaime acquired a pizza oven shortly after they opened and added pizza to their menu. Enjoy a slice or two during lunch or have your crew come by to feast during a big game!
