Where to go for Pizza in Stockton, California

In a world where seemingly everything generates debate, one of the few things almost everyone can agree on is that pizza is awesome. (We won't get into the whole pineapple argument.) Read on for some of the most popular pizza places in Stockton according to locals and visitors alike.

Is there anything better than a slice or two of delicious pizza? A piping-hot pie makes for a delicious dinner, and anything left serves quite well as breakfast the next morning. If the mere mention of pizza has you craving, here's several places to choose from where you're guaranteed to satisfy those pizza pangs.

1. David's Pizza

David's Pizza is the top choice for a lot of people. In fact, it's been making San Joaquin Magazine's list of best pizza restaurants every year since 1993. With that kind of record, they must be doing something right. The New York style pizza is one of several popular choices, though with hand-tossed dough and brick oven cooking, you can't go wrong with any choice.

2. Michael's New York Style Pizza

Micheal's New York Style Pizza is another long-time staple in Stockton's pizza scene. They've been putting out perfect pies since 1978 and have also won numerous "best of" votes over the years. Their success isn't really a secret, they use only the freshest, hand-cut toppings. And if you do happen to have that odd person who doesn't like pizza in your group, their café also offers delicious burgers, among other options.

3. Dante's California Style Pizza & Café

Unlike the first two entries on the list which specialize in New York style pizza, Dante's California Style Pizza embraces their home state's philosophy on pizza. Similar to New York style for its crust, the toppings are more reflective of California style cuisine. Each pie that comes from their kitchen is a special creation, resulting in a culinary work of art that is as much feast for the eyes as it is for the appetite.

4. Fired Mobile Pizza Oven

The only thing better than a tasty and beautiful artisan-style pizza is one that comes to you. Fired Mobile Pizza Oven is just what its name suggests: a pizzeria on the go. The food truck contains a wood-fired pizza oven sourced from Italy, while the ingredients are sourced from local farms. You can find them at popular spots for food trucks around town, or even have them come to you for an epic event.

5. Eric's New York Style Pizza

Sometimes you just need a hot pizza and a cold beer. Eric's New York Style Pizza is the go-to for so many people in need of that time-honored tradition. Of course the hand-tossed pizza is the star here, but they're also known for a dynamite minestrone. Have it delivered for pizza in your home, or enjoy there in a "homelike" atmosphere. Either way, it'll be a winner of a dinner.

6. Eddie's Pizza Café

Eddie's is another long-time favorite for Stockton, as they have been serving excellent pizza for more than 35 years. The pizza is so popular that they have four locations. One location, the Benjamin Holt Dr. spot, attracts a lot of families with its large arcade. Another on Hammer Lane also boasts a billiards hall. While there may be different things to do at each Eddie's, the one thing that is the same at all locations is amazing pizza.
