Prepare to celebrate the Year of the Pig during the Stockton Chinese New Year Celebration!
NOTE: Due to warnings issued by the World Health Organization, The Chinese New Year Celebration for 2020 has been CANCELED.
The Stockton Memorial Civic Auditorium will be stocked full of dragon dances and there is a menu packed with flavorful dishes. This annual celebration in Downtown Stockton is considered the largest in San Joaquin County celebrating Chinese customs, traditions, and activities. The Parade and Celebration are held on the first Sunday in March and prepare to encounter plenty of engaging activities fun for the whole family.

Venue and Parking:
The celebration is set at the Stockton Memorial Civic Auditorium, located at 525 N Center Street in Downtown Stockton, visitors can park anywhere along city side streets and parking is normally free.
Festival and Parade Hours:
Sunday, March 3, 2019
- Parade (route): 10am - 11am
- Festival: 11am - 5:30pm
Entertainment and Activities:
A range of community members will be performing on the main stage inside the Stockton Civic Auditorium on Sunday between 11am and 5pm.
- Parade features dancing lions and dragons, including marching bands from area high schools.
- Lion Dance, Drunken Lion, Pole Jong Dance
- Chinese Folk Dance: Tibetan Dance
- Chinese Instrumental Duet: Dongxiao & Dulcimer
- Dulcimer (Chinese Percussion Instrument) Solo
- Chinese Instrumental Music Suite
- Kong Fu & Martial Arts Demonstration
- Kids Zone: carnival games, rides, face painting, and arts and crafts.

Cultural Food:
Delicious Chinese New Year refreshments and food will be offered at the annual event, including;
- Traditional dim sum
- Authentic Chinese cuisine
- Bonus: Be sure to grab an exclusive family recipe of chicken curry that has been carried from generation to generation
