Concerts in the Park
Victory Park is filled with music on Wednesdays as the Concerts in the Park series is in full effect. The free concerts run from 6-8 pm and each one features a different style of music. It's a great way for parents to relax and take in some tunes while the kids run around with a few dozen of their newest friends. Sounds like a win-win! Catch a Movie
There's no better way to take in a big Hollywood blockbuster than at the Regal Stockton City Centre Cinema 16 & IMAX. Nothing brings the action to life like a massive IMAX screen. The fact that they have reclining lounge seating only adds to the experience as you can be comfortable, while also being blown away by the spectacle on the screen. The theater is conveniently located in the heart of Stockton's downtown district, putting a wide array of dining options within reach, making it a true night out with the family.

P.S. If you're looking for a specific film to watch, might we suggest The Fantastic Four: First Steps? Why that film? No reason... Stockton just happens to be their birthplace, that's all...
Cheer on the Ports
What's more traditional than taking the family to see a baseball game? The Stockton Ports play at Stockton Ballpark through most of September, and they put on quite a show. Not only will you see some great baseball, but every home game also features a special promotion, adding to the fun. Home games start at 7:05 pm except for Sundays, which begin at 6:05 pm. Now, we could make a "Family time at the ballpark is sure to be a hit" joke here, but we're above that sort of thing. But you know the kids will have a ball.

Go to the Races
Few things can be as thrilling as short-track racing, and they deliver on that promise at the Stockton 99 Speedway, the Delta Speedway, and the Stockton Dirt Track. There's a lot of history here at this track; it's the oldest one still in operation west of the Mississippi River. In addition to stock car races, they also bring in stunt bikes, drift racing, and just about every class of race car you can imagine. For more on Stockton's racing scene, click here.

Explore the Sky
Take the family out for an evening of stargazing at Oak Grove Regional Park. Headed by the Stockton Astronomical Society, Astronomy in the Park volunteers guide future astronomers through the glorious sky above us every Saturday, closest to the First Quarter Moon. Telescope viewing starts just after sunset when the moon will be easily visible from the start. As the sky darkens, more objects become visible for your viewing pleasure. Additionally, there are indoor astronomy activities available at the Nature Center.
