Main Street Market in Downtown

Every Thursday in August, the first-ever Main Street Market in Downtown Stockton will be taking place. Happening over at the Courthouse Plaza from 5:00 - 9:00 pm, there will be food trucks, craft vendors, live music, and much much more! Plus, Maker's Made, Plaza Perks, Main Street Gifts, and The Underground Arcade will all be open for this fun event!

Stockton Ports

The Stockton Ports are in the heart of their season in August, with 14 home games for you to choose from. Check out the calendar and find the date, and the fun promotion, that works best for you, and enjoy a game at one of the most scenic ballparks around. They're taking on Modesto, San Jose, Lake Elsinore, and Fresno—so there's plenty of action to enjoy!

Soul Food Festival

If you love good food, then Weber Point is the place to be on Saturday, Aug. 6 for the Soul Food Festival. The free event starts at 11 am and runs until 8 pm, giving you plenty of time to feed your body and spirit. In addition to amazing food, there will also be live entertainment, retail vendors, and local nonprofits. Bring your lawn chair and an appetite, it's going to be a great time!

Taste of the Delta

The Taste of The Delta fundraiser for the California Delta Chambers takes place Saturday, August 6 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Village West Marina Yacht Club. Sample delicious wines and food and enjoy vendor booths, and live music. Plus, there will be silent and live auctions, too! Tickets start at $45 for advanced purchases.

StocktonCon

Stockton's annual pop culture extravaganza returns to the Stockton Arena on August 13 & 14 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. More than 200 exhibitors and artists will be in the house, including motion picture & television stars, animated voice actors, comic writers and artists, cosplayers, professional wrestlers, and local shops. This is easily one of the most enjoyable experiences for all the pop culture nerds in our area.

California Garlic Festival

The famous California Garlic Festival makes its way for the first time to the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds the weekend of August 13 & 14 from 12 noon to 7:00 pm. This mouth-watering festival will feature delicious dishes such as Garlic Fries, Garlic Pesto Pasta, and Garlic Mushroom & Onion Bread Bowls. Top your meal off with the sweet & savory dessert Maple Brown Sugar Garlic Ice Cream! Plus, there's going to be the Show and Shine Car Display, interactive cooking demonstrations, the Miss California Garlic Festival Scholarship Pageant & Princess Program, a large fruit stand market, monster truck rides, farm-friendly petting zoo, photography contest, carnival rides, live music, and so much more!

Hot Summer Nights at the Stockton Sailing Club

The Stockton Sailing Club is holding its Hot Summer Nights Classic Car Show on Saturday, August 13 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. This event is free to the public and will feature a lineup of classic cars. Enjoy a delicious old-fashioned burger and beer while you enjoy the sight of beautiful vintage vehicles. Not to mention, you'll be on the Delta, so that cool evening breeze will be perfect during this event.

Stockton Cruise Night

Stockton Cruise Night is another fun event for car enthusiasts, as countless works of automotive art make their way to the Miracle Mile for a cruise up Pacific Ave. After the cruise, the cars park along the Miracle Mile so you can get a closer look. The cruises happen every third Thursday, June through October—which includes Thursday, August 18. It's free to attend, leaving you plenty of money in your pocket for a meal at one of the delicious restaurants on the Miracle Mile, making for a fun night out on the town.

Stockton Jazz Festival

The sounds of smooth jazz will be echoing from Weber Point thanks to the Stockton Jazz Festival, taking place Saturday, August 27 at 12 noon. This 9th annual event will feature the likes of Tony Terry, Jeanette Harris, Braxton Brothers, Lin Rountree, Joel Del Rosario, Tony Exum Jr., Steve Gray, and more. A chill Saturday kicking back by the Delta and listening to jazz sounds like a good time to us.
