Perfect Stockton, CA Spots to Watch the World Cup

Since its inception, it has been called the “beautiful game.” From the English Premier League and La Liga to Liga MX and MLS, fútbol, aka soccer, is the most loved sport worldwide, and the FIFA World Cup is its most popular national competition. This year, FIFA brings its historic championship tournament to the US, Canada, and Mexico. Opening day is Thursday, June 11 and at least SIX group stage games will be taking place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

Just over an hour from the stadium, Stockton is an excellent place to stop or stay the night on the way to Santa Clara. Plus, you can leave your car here and jump aboard the ACE Rail as it is providing travel to Levi's Stadium for three select games.

If you're up for more Mexican food during a World Cup showdown, Octavio's over on Benjamin Holt has you covered. This spot has a long-standing commitment to traditional Mexican food and a great dining experience. You can catch the games on the bar and dining area televisions, or you can make your World Cup viewing really special by renting Octavio's large private event room, which includes WiFi, a projector, and enough room for 70 people, is an excellent idea.
