Kick off the summer with Stockton’s free Concerts in the Park series
The beat goes on this year at Victory Park, and there's a little something for everyone.
Victory Park will once again transform into an outdoor amphitheater for Stockton’s summer concert series as Concerts in the Park. The music will play every Wednesday, June to end of August, from 6pm to 8pm. They are free to the public and provide a great opportunity to explore the city’s diverse culture and artistic stylings.
The Concerts in the Park series always draws a considerable crowd each evening, and this year’s musical lineup is sure to be no different. Check out this list of upcoming talent and make plans to enjoy some live music in the park!
In Memory: There is a bench that sits in Victory Park dedicated to the memory of Dan Jimenez aka "Diamond Dan." Before every concert of the season, a chandelier is raised up and hung on the large oak tree as a safe space community gathering for LGBTQIA+ members.

Tips for Enjoying Concerts in the Park
Parking & Arrival
While there is no dedicated parking lot for these festivities, park attendees are able to park in the surrounding neighborhood. Be sure to arrive early so you can secure a good spot with minimal walking and minimize the stress of looking for parking. Or even better, make it a full afternoon event by setting up a tent, tables, and chairs hours in advance and and have some leisurely fun in the park for the concert kicks off!
Atmosphere & Etiquette
This Stockton tradition is a relaxed, community vibe that is social, interactive, and welcoming. Expect to see neighbors mingling, kids playing, and plenty of movement. The front area near the stage is generally reserved for dancing, so feel free to join in on the fun as the band rocks the night away.
Dogs are welcome, but be sure to keep them on a leash throughout the event— and please clean up after them. Also, this fantastic shindig is organized by a nonprofit, so consider bringing cash to show your support as donations are typically requested throughout the evening.
What to Bring
- Chairs and blankets are allowed and a great idea in making your experience as comfortable as possible. If you're sitting up front, lower your seats to make sure your chairs do not block the view of those behind you.
- Pop-up tents, picnic blankets, and umbrellas are commonly used for those who show up early and claim their spots. Shade near the front of the stage is limited so if that's important, show up early.
- Recreational items like hula hoops, balls, and others are popular for the kids to play with in the open space further away from the stage. It's also a good way to tire them out so they can chill during the performances.
Also, be sure to clean up after yourself in your area when the concert comes to an end.
Food & Drink
Many Concerts in the Park attendees bring potluck-style spreads to share with friends or pack picnic dinners for their families to enjoy during the show. Wine and other alcoholic beverages are common, but please be discreet and respectful of the others in the area looking to enjoy the show on stage.
There's also plenty of take-out options in the area for you to choose from. Spots include:
- Yosemite Street Village spots like China Village, Terra Coffee Roasters, and I Dunno Gastropub.
- Lincoln Center spots like Midgley's Public House, Bud's Seafood & Grille, D.A.D.'s Hot Dogs, and DOMO Japanese Sushi Grill & Bar.
- Stockton's Miracle Mile spots like La Palma Mexican Cuisine, Fat City Brew & BBQ, Gian's Deli, and Thai Me Up.
Plus, there's going to be a number of on-site vendors selling snow cones, snacks, and tasty treats as well as homemade goods that could be a perfect addition to your home decor. Bring cash and support local while you're enjoying the tunes.
